What a great hotel! We love the friendliness of all staff members, the central, yet quiet, location, and the super comfy beds!! Everything is right on your doorstep, including public transport.Some great restaurants and designer shopping within easy walking distance.

I travelled to Melbourne for one night just to catch up with a friend, and see a music gig in south Yarra.It was an ideal location and walking distance to where I wanted to go.Check in was quick and easy, and my room spacious and comfortable.i got a 50% off deal, so great value.I couldn't complain about anything, and would stay again.

After reading all the rave reviews on this hotel I was keen to stay.Checked in Friday night. I had read that guests were warmly greeted with coffee at check in. No coffee was offered to us at check in, although the machine was right next to the staff member. No other guests were anywhere to be seen, so it wasn't because she was busy. The room allocated was the one I had booked and prepaid for, which was an open-plan spa suite. Although I had requested one with a Japanese garden outlook, I was advised this would cost an extra $50- upgrade fee. I wasn't aware of this, so I declined. Our room was on the 6th floor but had a street and factory/building outlook. I ran the spa bath and after calling the front desk because there was no bath gel/foam I was informed they didn't have any and to use the shower lotion ? provided. I later read the bottle which advised it could be used as a bath foam! After the spa bath was filled, I turned on the jets and was met with the appearance of a brown sludge which had come from the spa jets. Revolting. I reported this and was told it was because the spa doesn't get used during the week, but it was okay. I was not happy with this, and someone was sent to clean the bath and refill it to test it. I was also given some bath crystals as an apology. Good, but we were only at the hotel for one night and the romantic evening had lost its shine by then. Room service dinner was acceptable but my chicken risotto was made with sliced chicken-the kind you get from deli, not chicken pieces, although I was assured it was gluten free.Check out staff were much friendlier than the check in staff member and when we went back to sort out a car park issue after checkout they were helpful with a car park validation voucher and the coffee that we did not originally get-Thank you Eden.The hotel is well located on Chapel St, as you know, and that is probably its best feature. The open plan spa room was certainly spacious and beautifully decorated, but the tv reception was pretty poor (we were watching tv while the bath was getting cleaned and checked by the staff). This hotel is five stars, but nowhere near as classy as Accor's flagship five star Sofitel hotel in the city-go there unless you need to be in South Yarra.

A most comfortable establishment with exceptional personnel who actually understand the meaning of SERVICE. The rooms are clean and fresh and the facilities perfect after a day travelling and at the office. I would like to see a little larger wine selection available in the bar.

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of this hotel. We arrived at about 11pm after the football and the reception staff came outside to meet us at our car.The next morning when one of my wife's earrings fell done the vanity outlet was not even an issue as the on site maintenance staff were able to retrieve it by dismantling the surrounds with a minimum of fuss.We will definitely return as the service is perfect and the local Chapel St precinct means the location is also great.

If you love shopping, this is in a great location in Chapel Street.. Restaurants and cafes around it and the cinema complex too. Parking is pricey though. Valet parking cost $35.00. Wilson parking overnight is about $30.00.

Stayed here for a night via a preview sale and scored a room for $100. Check-in staff were so incredibly welcoming and made me feel at ease. Room was fantastic and right on Chapel Street. Hotel has been taken over by Accor recently. Decor is young and has energy. Happy to stay here again.
