Old, noisy, broken

Room 1107. 2 bedroom. For a lousy sleeper, don’t ever get this side of the hotel. You hear EVERY train coming & going out of Chatswood station. The hotel, room & furniture are old & in definite need of an upgrade. Tge room wasn’t ready when we arrived, yet when we did enter there was dust as if no one had been there yet the washing machine had condensation as if just used. In the main bathroom the under bath peep hole area had been broken & part of it still lay on the tile floor. All a bit strange. The air conditioning was efficient. I’ll not chance staying there again given the noise. I can’t cope with noise. I realise people are different, but for me, that was too much.

Exceptional Location and great layouts for apartments

The apartments are fabulous sizes and will fit a good sized family in the rooms - comfy beds a with configurable bedding (eg: 2x singles, queen etc). There is the basic amenities in the apartment but duly noted that these are not replenished as apartments are not serviced. The location is wonderful, just in front of Westgate and a street mall so it is fabulous - great access to the apartment, parking and two car parks for drop off. Great price for a 2BR apartment - nice pool and very friendly to a comfortable stay. On the negatives, the things that prevented this as a 10/10 a) Kitchens are a little sparse in some products for use (eg: cutlery/ washing powders etc...) b) Not serviced and amenities not replenished for longer stays c) Breakfast is a "bag" of items - exact same items each day which was not advised until received (I thought there must have been a breakfast area). This is a problem for us who had diabetes and allergies (eg: not worth paying for this) d) Very inflexible about late/early check-in / outs so definitely worth checking if this is a requirement as I often moved between hotels (understandable but I got mixed messaging on two of my stays - one said yes and one said no and it had me stranded with 5 suitcases for 3-4 hours) Receptionist (I think she was French) is lovely, helpful and professional - thank you. Manager was lovely too and personally made a bed when housekeeping forgot to turn the twins into a king bed when the mistake was made (over and above).

Curtain in bedroom didn’t shut, missing curtain in dining room, hair all over the bathroom floor, no tea towel and dirty spa. Expect more from a Sebel.
