would definately stay again couldnt fault anything staff very friendly rooms fantastic and clean whole hotel was rated very high in our opinion. We have stayed a few places in the Hunter Valley and the Sebel is on par with the Crowne we had friends stay and they loved it just as much as we did we will all be back again.

This is a truly beautiful location. Staff were wonderful and very welcoming. The room was spacious and had everything that we needed. The bed was comfortable. The only negatives were that the fan in the bathroom only hummed but did not work. The fridge was noisy and it would have been lovely if the fountain in the back paddock was working. Also it would be nice if the balconies were non smoking as the couple down from us went out to their balcony to smoke and it came into our room. This was not the fault of the hotel as such but just a personal gripe. There was alot of bird life and a few bunnies but overall we had a very relaxing stay and would stay here again
"Great spot for a weekend touring the wineries"
12th September 2013, Crowey_12, Sydney, Australia
Really enjoyable stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful with tips on local attractions. In particular Jess & Jo in the restaurant were outstanding. Hotel is large & well appointed with great views. Despite there being a large wedding reception the weekend we stayed, there was little noise and we enjoyed a great nights sleep. Recommend this hotel if visiting the HV wineries as its ideally located.

Had a very relaxing stay & had great service from check-in to check-out.Located in a great location, close to all the wineries yet far enough away to feel relaxed. Will definitely stay there again & recommend a few drinks in front of the open fire & a few games of snooker to end the day.
"Excellent weekend trip"

Hotel was excellent, service was friendly and the room was clean! I would stay here again for sure. We checked in late in the day but that wasn't a problem. On the second day, we came in a bit late for breakfast, but they let us sneak in anyway for a bit. Additionally, a big thing for me is bathrooms are always a sticking point. Nice bathrooms are a must and this place had it!

We had the perfect stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful, the food amazing and the bed more comfortable than ours at home! If you are looking for a retreat from the busyness of life, this is the place to go. There are lovely covered verandahs where you can chill and read a book, or simply gaze at the countryside. We also escaped to the lounge area and enjoyed the ambience of the log fire. First class accomodation and we will definitely stay there again.
"Sunday night in the Hunter Valley"

Great location. We took the 'Special" no refund, no changes deal. Excellent value. Better than local motels . The continental breakfast with the Accor card is great value. The view of the Wattagan mountains is a lovely backdrop. We would definitely go back.

We stayed overnight before travelling on the next day. The service was excellent, especially in the restaurant. We found our waiter to be very knowledgeable about the food and wines. Our only complaints were regarding the food. My wife, Robyn, ordered the lamb rump and was told it would be pink, however part of it was quite rare and she was unable to eat that.On the other hand, I ordered the angus scotch fillet to be medium-rare and received medium to well done. I am not one to return food to the kitchen so ate the meal, but did show the waiter who offered to take it back to the kitchen. I didn't want to wait and had already consumed half of the dish so declined her offer.I believe the chef was informed but she did not come out to discuss it. Perhaps that was because we were using our Advantage Plus card and getting a discount.I do believe that we should not get a lower level of service because we use a loyalty card, especially one that is not cheap. This would make me reconsider renewing the card.On the plus side, the staff, location and resort were exceptional and at world standard and we were most impressed.
