Quay West Resort and Spa Falls Creek: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A Great Place to Escape the Heat."

14th February 2013, adenoz, melbourne

Down below it was 38 degrees, but up at Falls Creek it was a pleasant 24 . I dislike the snow, so this was a great time of year to come, as it was ideal weather for bush walking and cycling (if you like that sort of thing). Our one bedroom apartment came with a cute two person hot tub on the balcony. There was still enough room to squish a little table and two chairs in so that we could have breakfast and dinner outside. The view of the Keiwa Valley was spectacular. The kitchenette came with a misrowave and two hotplates. The hotplates kept turning off and on but we managed. The management rely on being told if something isn't working. If the people before you don't tell, then it won't be fixed, unfortunately. This didn't spoil our stay however. The apartment itself was nicely appointed and very roomy. We thought that the walls might show a bit of wear and tear what with all the ski gear being lugged around, but it was beautifully maintained. The TV had all digital channels plus a few cable sporty channels. As it was off season, there were very few people staying there, so there was only a small staff, but everyone we met was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the coffee was excellent and the wait staff friendly and helpful.I imagine that in winter this place would be great for snow lovers, but I highly recommend it as a place to escape the heat during the off season.
