I booked this hotel because I got a good bed and breakfast rate - reasonably, my expectations were not very high. After the taxi took me through the "red light" district of Adelaide and down a narrow lane-way my expectations were even lower. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of staff on reception. The reception counter is at the rear of the hotel lobby, behind a wall and doesn't have much natural light. My room was on level 7 and, while the view was into the building across the lane way, the room was great. It was very clean, the bed was VERY comfortable, it had an iPod docking station and espresso coffee machine. The breakfast buffet, while not large in size, had the wonderful and unique selection of fresh and creative food. DON'T MISS THE BREAKFAST BUFFET! I will definitely be back.

Very Professional service and courteous staff. It was nice to get a personalized letter on arrical.The rooms were nice fitted. I particularly liked the coffee machine in the room.Nice clean rooms. Great location in Adelaide CBD. Accesible to the train stations and other shops. Very professional staff.Well done. Keep the good work up

Good value for money! I hope the special rates will always be on offer. The food in the restaurant was fabulous and service was immaculate. Room service break fast was on time but slightly less generous. I shall definitely use this hotel for business and pleasure.

Staying at the Sebel Playford Adelaide is where one who is on a modest budget can experience first class accommodation and service.The service is second to none in Adelaide and other hotels should look up to the Sebel and only hope to come close.Front desk service is amazing and if you have to wait the valet's are there to help you with your bags or offer you a free drink in the bar.The rooms are amazing, I can't say the view is too great given that it is in the heart of Adelaide you are surrounded by businesses and tall buildings. Though what it lacks in views it make up for it in location, tram is right out the front door, the convention centre is right across the road a small walk up the alley and your in hindley street onto rundle mall.The room service is fast, delicious and good value, the dining experience is amazing prompt seating, service again is flawless and the food OH MY GOD the food is incredible.I have stayed a in a few different rooms and on this particular stay that I'm writing about I was upgraded from a playford king to a suite.I love this place and will forever be a returning customer.

This hotel was formerly the sebel playford and was the best in South Australia in my opinion. The bigger chain takes over and unfortunately as always seems to be the case, they change things, the little personal touches that make it that bit special. Anmyway, I guess if you haven't stayed there before you won't know about the past and you will enjoy a lovely hotel (for now) and lovely service from the staff
"Nice Hotel Accor Booking System leaves a lot to be desired"

Arrived at hotel after booking a package on Accor website and as happened before at Crown Plaza Adelaide, booking was for standard room and standard rates, no record of package etc. I had to, again produce my email booking confirmation to get the package booked. I tried when booking to ring hotel direct but when I asked for bookings my call seemed to get re-directed to some ghastly Accor phone centre, tried twice, was put on hold for a while then I hung up.We had a good stay, good food and service. The morning we left we were unable to fit in breakfast and my husband drank a free juice from the coffee shop in the foyer and was sick about 2 hours later. Maybe co-incidence....Will be avoiding any hotel using Accor webiste or phone bookings service in future, they clearly are unable to co-ordinate their website with the hotel in question.
