On arrival, I went to have a shower and noticed a thick layer or mould around the shower screen. The next morning as I was making our bed, I noticed our doona was all ripped and covered in blood and food stains. As I was using the iron in the room that morning, it stopped working. I went to reception to ask for ia new iron and for the doona to be replaced and the shower to be cleaned. When we came back after being out for the day, we found we had no power. The contents of our fridge had gone warm so had to be thrown out. Turns out the iron tripped the power. I checked the bed and the bed had been remade, with the same stained and torn doona. There was no way to miss the stains and the tears when making the bed. On night 2 we lost our hot water. We had to have lukewarm showers the rest of our stay. All in all, it was a pretty disappointing experience. We were able to negotiate free parking with the very helpful manager that was working on check out.

Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff with clean and comfortable room and facilities. Just the spot for a quick overnight trip to Brisbane to attend an event at Parliament House. Easy walk with a bit of window shopping along the way. Sadly, no time this time for the roof top bar and pool.
