Check-in hep was superb. Check-out person had just a bit of an attitude. $248 / night was on the high side for me. ......now you have to be kidding - making me compete 200 words in order to finish this review and put in a title????
"Excellent Location"
14th February 2013, Park Avenue
The hotel is a stone's throw from the city centre and railway stations, has great rooms and pool area. Didn't dine in so can't comment but very very handy location. The reception staff were friendly and efficent.

"The right place to handle your jetlag"
11th February 2013, nectere, Karlsruhe, Germany
I arrived early morning, made a early check-in at no extra-cost. The hotel is well located, in the city and close to the South bank, yet very quiet. The buffet breakfast is particularly tasty. After 24 hours, I was up and about with no hint of jetlag.

"Weekend in the city"
10th February 2013, 55VG, GC
We often stay in the city just for a change from the Gold Coast and we do enjoy it. First time in this hotel. It is clean and has all you can need for a short city stay. Location is good, service is good, the bar in the hotel though is pretty average. We usually stay in the Sofitel, which is great, but for a change we’ve tried Mercure on the North Quay and it is not good, may be after the reno. Will not hesitate to stay in the Mercure Brisbane King George Square again

"Sir Cliff Concert Weekend"
7th February 2013, ddwyer54, Caloundra, Australia
Convenient to Convention Centre and the City Mall. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Did not realize that the car parking fee was on top of the accommodation and the cost of $30 was quite high.
"Overnight in Brisbane"
24th January 2013, Shirley1954, Mackay, Australia
Thank you for a lovely overnight stay. The staff were very friendly and approachable and the accommodation was great. Bit disappointed that we were not able to access the pool and gym but fully understand that they were being refurbished - the old saying - "you have top crack a few eggs to make an omlette"Location for us was absolutely perfect as we wandered off into the City Mall for a bit of shopping before returning home.
