"Family stay"

Stayed 2 nights with elderly parent, staff very helpful to elderly, only thing i would like changed in the bar snack/meal menu,We had been out during day time having a large luncheon meal, when we wanted a small snack meal in evening we could only get burger or pizza from bar menu, otherwise we had to go into restaurant for another meal which we did not wish, and pizza or burger is not suitable to our diets.

"Overpriced and poor service"

We stayed at Bunkers Bay 15-17 FEB 2013 in a studio villa. The room was generally ok, bathroom more than expected in terms of space and even a -very- small veranda. The room was AUD$310.50 per night including breakfast buffet for two. In regards to the location I found that far too much as you have to have a car to get around, so the Hotel is somewhere in no man's land. WIFI available for additional AUD$20 per day, that was a major turn off. Check in kind of flawless but without any emotion. Automatic quick check in via a machine would have been more enjoyable.The studio itself is kind of hard to find as they do have numbers at the houses but no signs whatsoever along the ways. You'll get a map and left on your own. Pullman's staff expect you've been a boy scout or at least know how to use your compass on your mobile phone.First night we couldn't be bothered to have dinner outside so we decided to eat in the restaurant. The receptionist advised us to give them a call and make a booking. No way she would call them for us. As the restaurant opened at 6pm -and it was just 6pm- we walked over to the restaurant opposite of the reception (5 Meter 50 cm). It was -of course- totally empty and the waiter was very polite and helpful until he knew we didn't have a reservation. So he walked up to the person in charge who had a careful look in her reservation book and let us know that they are fully booked for that night. Our argument that we wanted to eat NOW and not later made her look another time and after a long pause she finally phrased "i will see where I can pop you in". So far for a restaurant where dishes start (!) at AUD$40 and a bottle of water with AUD$10.50. She pointed to a table on the furthest point away from the windows to make sure we won't be able to see the ocean at all, in the corner next to the hall-stand. We refused and then she came with her best option, in the middle of everything but that was our last choice.To keep it short, our entre was a kind of herb and garlic bread baked in a flower pot, far away to call it bread, it had a consistency of a cake. My main was duck breast, grilled to the color of coal on top of 150g fried rice and covered with something indescribable, my partner had an dry, overcooked fish. We skipped the desserts and left by paying AUD$106.88 including 1% credit card surcharge!!! - Never again.The breakfast buffett in the morning though was surprisingly different and good, even though I must say it repeated itself on day2

"Lovely hotel beautiful beaches"

We were 3 friends sharing a two bedroom unit. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the food and the views from the restaurant at breakfast and in the evening. Will definitely be back.
