"Great place to stay"
12th September 2013, Jane162013, Brisbane, Australia
We stayed at Q Station for 3 nights in September. This is a great place to stay away from the hectic atmosphere in busy Manly, yet close enough to get to enjoy all Sydney has to offer. We found it no problem to walk into Manly to jump on a ferry to Circular Quay. One day we caught the ferry right at the Q Station wharf to Taronga Zoo. Arriving on a sunny afternoon we were able to check into our room and take a short walk down the vernacular stairs to have a swim at the sheltered beach by the wharf. We loved exploring this heritage site, learning about this history of quarantine. The site has been restored beautifully without losing the essence of the site, making it a perfect place to stay in Sydney if you want to be close to the main attractions without the crowds.

Everything was great.....location, photo opportunities, walks, history, beach, jetty, eating / drinking areas, room...close to Manly...felt like being on an island surrounded by bushland...even the guests were friendly

Despite my reservation confirmation there was no room for me when I arrived. I had to change in a toilet to attand the wedding being held at this venue.I booked a "Harbour veiw room with its own bath room and ended up in a 3 bedroom cottage.

Second year staying same night same room. Outstanding surrounds, picture perfect scenery and quality rooms for the eco style theme. Fantastic value having regard we paid $60 more last year for the same room. Only blight is the walls are tinny thin and you can hear people in adjacent rooms squabbling and another had radio on all night. Very hard for a light sleeper to nod off.
"Q Station a great experience"

We had a wonderful time at q station - stayed for a wedding views and food are spectacular, rooms are quirky and the staff are responsive what more can you ask for. Good value for a different experience.
"Q Station Tour and Accommodation"
30th August 2013, PBR898, Sydney, Australia
Spectacular views of Sydney Harbour from the vantage point of North Head. History of the Quarantine Station eye opening and answers many questions about Australia's early settlement. Accommodation very comfortable and modernised whilst maintaining most of the period feel of the early Quarantine Station. Café's and licenced restaurant within the original buildings so you wont miss a first class meal or a relaxing drink overlooking the harbour or a sunset over the wharf or Q Station beach. Take your camera and walking shoes and a jumper (it's breezy) there is plenty to see and explore. The whole area is relaxing and quiet. Very impressed.
