The Hotel was excellent and very clean, the food was great, especially the desserts in the buffet. The pool was super and great for families with many areas to swim or spa in and the staff were very friendly and a lot better than most hotels i've ever stayed

Very nice hotel, great service with all amenities. Located in the heart of cairns, close to all resturants. We stay quiet frequently for weekends away. We stay with our family and also when we want a weekend to ourselves. I love the location. We have dined in for breakfast and it is alway fresh and has a good variety. We Definately stay again and again :)

There was only one small rubbish bin in the bathroom, another bin in the room would be useful. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, we had dinner at Coco the Seafood buffet was nice overall our stay was very relaxing,t and I will certainly be back in the near future.

When my husband and I arrived at the hotel we were met by a lovely gentleman that took charge of our car, that was a positive. Dinner at the restaurant that night was a disappointment, for $70 per person, the value and quality of the fresh seafood was another let down, that was not only our opinion but also the couple that was sitting across from us. The bed in the room (620) was the worst I have ever tried to sleep on, the pillows were like bullets. The next morning I got in touch with housekeeping to look at the mattress, because ever time I turned over I rolled into the middle. Housekeeping sent somebody up to look at it and agreed, there solution was to put a board under the mattress. This hotel is supposed to be five star, so you can understand why I was a little taken aback when a board (which I think was actually a single door) was put under my mattress. This stay was very disappointing.disappointing in so many waysView management response »

Had business in Cairns. The hotel is a good location near most things. Decided to eat at inhouse restaurant and the food was fantastic. the hotel well occupied and is a little older but staff were very helpful at all times. Conducted a training session in the meeting rooms for a group up to 20 and every thing was delivered as requested and beyond when we forgot a couple of issues the staff delivered without a hassle.

10 years ago I would have rated this hotel 5 stars, but time has moved on, so I would guess its now like 4 stars. Excellent for a stay in Cairns. Breakfast had a very good selection . And all staff friendly and helpful. Very similar to the Pullman Reef Casino which is opposite.

We had planned to stay for 8 nights but had to cut this short to 4 nights because of poor sleep quality due to noise. The hotel's location whilst being central is not the best since it is close to the Casino and wharf and therefore subject to late night noise. Our room was excellent, good amenities and the service provided was what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Perhaps we were unlucky with our timing and being light sleepers, witha US warship berthed close by with its noisy auxiliary generator running all night and a poolside party one night at the Casino. We spoke to the management about our problems and they were very cooperative and helpful moving us to another room but this was not successful and reluctantly we had to move to somewhere quieter. It is avery good hotel and we could not fault the service we were given but there will always be a problem with noise with rooms overlooking the Casino and close to the wharf. Perhaps a room on the poolside would be quieter.
"Lovely room, nice outlook"

We recently stayed at the Pullman Cairns International. Our room was a harbourview (if you looked between the buildings) but it was still very nice, lovely big balcony, king size bed (very comfortable) and excellent appointments throughout the room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and made out stay a pleasant experience. We had dinner in the restuarant and chose to have a la carte over the seafood buffet (which looked absolutely scrumptious), we weren't dissappointed, the food was cooked as per our order and service was very quick. The only down side was that we were right opposite the Casino and after travelling all day the noise from there was a little bit irritating when you're tired. I would definitely stay again at the Pullman but would ask for a room further away from the Casino.

What a marvelous surprise! Very handy location and the rooms were well appointed and cozy, We were given complimentary breakfast for 2 when we couldnt access the pool one evening as ity was booked out for a wedding.Hats off to Alisha (sp) a marvelous worker behind the counter who assisted us with everything.
"Epitome of elegance, quality and service"

No accommodation anywhere can be rated as being perfect but this hotel comes very close to doing just that! It's location could not be better, the room was spacious, extremely comfortable and clean with a balcony that totally defied the ubiquitous norm of being the size of a pocket handkerchief; the service we received from reception, the porter, concierge , bar and restaurant staff very friendly but very professional; any point in the hotel (particularly the lobby) encased the guest with the quiet and ordered calm reminiscent of a Somerset Maughan setting. The highlight of our stay was the magnificent dinner buffet. Every dish was obviously meticulously prepared with selections that complemented one another. Of particular note was the labeling of each dish not just with the name but also including a brief description of its content and preparation. My sincere compliments to the head chef who I understand is relatively new to the position. The only hiccough to our stay was our inability to access the internet from our room. The girl at reception did her utmost to rectify the problem but to no avail and the cost of the service was waived. Actually I was most surprised and a little disappointed at the cost ($24) which I found difficult to justify in such a high-end establishment.Would we return? Absolutely!

Upon arriving at the Pullman I was offerred early checkin and within 25 minutes received a special room service delivery of Macaroons to compliment my stay to attend the Cairns Cup High Tea hosted by the Pullman Cairns International. The hotel was immaculate and the staff were friendly and always helpful. I will definately be returning in the near future. It was my home away from home!
