Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort & Spa is an upscale, 5-star AAA rated resort, located on the southern end of the beach at Palm Cove - a boutique resort village in Tropical North Queensland. Excellent service upon arrival, very helpful reception staff. Beautiful pool area. Very well maintained gardens and grounds. Breakfast was so good, best omelette ever and beautiful fresh fruit. Penthouse apartment with rooftop area was amazing, loved our stay there!

Absolutely loved Palm Cove Sea Temple, we have stayed in Port Douglas many times at the same hotel, however would now pick to return to Palm Cove in future over Port Douglas as the resort was wonderful. The lady on check in was very friendly and we really appreciated the complimentary upgrade. The space was perfect and the staff could not have done enough for us. Everything was done with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The location right on the beach was lovely, overall cannot wait to return here!

Just not 5 star, A great start with a phone call from the GM the day before our arrival - very friendly wonderful looking forward to meeting us personal - he never contacted us again. No one to help you get your bags out when you arrive - this is standard in 5 star facilities. Then up to a room where the fridge does not work, ok so we get two options wait for the staff tomorrow to check fridge or move to another room. Alright we will move to another room if the fridge is working - "Yes of course the fridge is working". We get to the room unpack and unfortunately this fridge is not working either. So give us a ice bucket and we use that for the 4 days of our stay!. Why pay for a kitchen if you cannot use it! First night we couldn't get into the restaurant so decided on room service unfortunately we had inedible food, after complaining we got another meal it was cold again and badly cooked, we rang back complained again this time we were sent two desserts both terrible - inedible and that was the end of our goodwill. to late to go anywhere else for dinner! 3 chances and your done. When we spoke to reception the next day they wanted us to tell them what we wanted that would make us feel better - not the customers job to tell you how to make it up to them. Its the job of the host to work it out, apologise and compensate the customer. 2 days later someone finally rings us to apologise and give us the real Sea Temple experience - lovely front office manager sends us a cheese platter and some wine. exec chef rings and is very apologetic come for breakfast i will come see you (even if its my day off - big promises) and make sure you experience our great food. we went for breakfast it was ok, not what i would expect from 5 start resort more a 3/4 star buffet but ok, chef made us poached eggs all good. Unfortunately just like the general manager the exec chef never came to see us.(don't make promises and then not keep them!!). the fans in the room could not be kept on as the settings were faulty, the fridge was never working at more then just keeping things cold of they were in the freezer, ice bucket was our main source of cooling drinks. this is not 5 star service, this is not a five star resort and our last 4 days of holiday were pretty under par and definately not worth the money they charge.either improve the service, facilities and equipment or change your rating to a 3/4 star and stop charging people for something you don't deliver.

Sea Temple Resort was the perfect place to recharge. In the few days that I was there it provided me with the peace, quiet, great pool, access to the beach, great food and service that I was hoping for. I will definitely return.

The resort itself is beautiful. The staff are great. The cleaning is spotless. The outdoor bar staff terrific. But the room itself well!!! The furniture in the lounge area was the standard of a two star motel. The uncomfortable furniture was in need of replacement. The arms of the armchairs had been scratched so much the varnish was gone and had gouges in the wood. The coffee table had rough edges and splinters. The dining table and chairs were chipped and stains on the fabric, the table top looked like it had had a coat of paint on it. The bedroom was as basic as it comes. The kitchen had the barest of items. The knife block had a pair of scissors that needed to be replaced - not sure what they were used for but not as a pair of scissors. The outdoor furniture both downstairs and on the upper deck was falling apart - I think there was only one chair that was intact. The spa had missing jets and covers. We noticed that the roofs on other apartments had complete roofs that made them look like a pavilion - not ours - flat roof with laser light and wooden slats (some missing). The arrangement of the outdoor furniture outside the living area was strange because of the shape - one chair was always in a corner with no light and it the louvers where opened you had to open then all and then during the day you felt like you were in a cage. The restaurant was average - brought the wrong wine came back to say that the one we ordered had run out, suggested another. and like a lot of tasting of wines the first mouthful was ok but half a glass was enough. Starters were good, mains, my husbands was corrected, they brought me out an incorrect meal. I said that I would accept the incorrect meal rather than wait for the correct one to be cooked. Started my meal and the correct meal arrived at the table and the waiter said it was there all along. He said that we would only have to pay for one main course. That was not so when the bill came. WiFi was a nightmare - ended up using the computer in the foyer. I did go down to reception and inquire whether the rooms were of the same standard of furnishings and was told they were all the same -which I find hard to believe. On our departure I did advise Brian all that I have said and told him I would be sending a letter of complaint. I am an Accor card holder and did make this booking quite some time ago and 5 days prior to arriving I checked my booking and saw that it was cheaper so I cancelled and re booked

I will certainly address your concerns with our maintenance team but a bit disappointed especially when we have a very pro active maintenance plan in place and do pride ourselves with presenting the room to a five star standards. I do find your comments regarding the Food and Beverage offering in the restaurant surprising as our team continually strive to deliver the very best of customer service which is something that we are regularly praised for. I would also highlight that we recently have been rewarded a certificate of Excellence through Trip Advisor for the Restaurant Temple Of Taste, With that said I will investigate further to ensure that all team members are providing a high level of service for all of our guests. The Pullman Sea Temple Palm Cove is amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and professional, and made our stay so pleasant. The resort facilities are second to none. If you have kids, the pools are great for all ages. The restaurant has fantastic fresh and local produce. The pool bar and tapas were amazing. We will definitely be returning. I would happily recommend this resort to anyone!

Enjoyed our stay .!only concern was bath over shower and the glass shower screen wasn't long enough down side of bath . Bathroom floor flooded each time we had a shower and slipped over a couple of times on wet floor . Also no fan so got very steamy !
