Room needs fixing for 6 months

Stayed at same room as a previous stay a few months ago. Can you believe the the toilet is still leaking badly all over the bathroom floor? HIGE Health and safety risk. Maybe that’s the reason there was a filthy bath towel neatly folded awaiting to be used - to be thrown on the floor to prevent a fall. To round up the hotel is now selling only water in 310ml cans . No bottle , plastic or otherwise, no carton box , no 500ml, no 1.5 litres . Only 310ml can for R$8. Piss taking really.

I had a very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience at this Hotel. On Thursday, 04/04/2024, I went to the bathroom in my room and when closing the door, the door handle came loose, leaving me trapped inside the room. I had my cell phone and tried to call the hotel phone and for 45 minutes, I didn't hear back from any available extension (reception, governance, finance, restaurant, reservations). I ended up calling friends who lived nearby and they went to the hotel, as they also tried to call the hotel without getting any response. After identifying me with my apartment number at reception, they asked hotel maintenance to go to my apartment to open the bathroom door where I had been trapped for over an hour. To my surprise and concern, 30 minutes had passed since my friends had informed me that hotel maintenance would be on the way and no longer being able to count on their arrival, I stuck my foot in the door and broke it down so I could get out of the bathroom. I left the room to take the broken door components to reception and in the hallway of my floor, I came across the maintenance employee who was fixing the door handle of the wrong room, as they had given him another apartment number. Ibis Budget's service is regrettable in not answering any of my calls and even telling me that they don't answer because the priority goes to those who are checking in at the hotel and not to those who are already staying there! I wonder if a guest feels sick in their room and is unable to contact anyone at the hotel by phone and this could turn into a calamity! Because of this, I am instructing my travel agency to place this unit on the company's blacklist and for our employees to avoid making reservations there.

The Ibis Budget Savassi has been my choice for staying at Belo Horizonte for almost three years. The staff is very polite and respectful. In special, the room maid is always willing to help. My suggestion is to add frigobar in the rooms. I recommend the hotel for all, whether for leisure or work.
