Mercure London Greenwich: 5.0 out of 5 stars "London City Break"

25th September 2013, Kimk0, Glasgow, United Kingdom

Stayed in hotel with my husband for a city break. Good clean rooms, staff lovely and very helpful. Used the DLR every day as very close by around a 5 min walk from hotel. Great location lovely bars and cafes a short distance away, great for Greenwich and blackheath and particularly canary wharf. Have marked value for money as very good, only reason not excellent is as at just over £100 per night this did not include breakfast, which would have been handy. Plenty of places close by to stop in for breakfast if need be. Over all fantastic trip, pleasant staff made it all the better. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

Mercure London Greenwich: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Big Surprise"

23rd September 2013, os12963, Laxenburg

Within a three minutes walk from Deptford Bridge DLR station the hotel offers modern and comfortable rooms including coffe/team making facilities, a stilish decorated bar and a breakfast buffett with everything you may wish to eat. Staff has been very friendly and helpful. Check out for breakfast vouchers at a reduced price (10 instead of 15 GBP).I would return if there is the chance - inspite of the location outside of the city - and can recommend it.

Mercure London Greenwich: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A real gem of a hotel"

20th September 2013, lancashirelass002, Pickering

I travel to London a lot and I am so glad to have found this hotel as it doesn't feel like a large chain. Whilst it's a little way out it is a real comfortable stay and the stafff are very friendly and welcoming, which made our stay. Whilst there had been an accident through a burst water pipe the hotel did their very best to manage around this and it did not impact our stay at all. I would certainly stay here next time I am down in London and I look forward to going back.

Mercure London Greenwich: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Business stay for one week"

10th September 2013, Shaq2013, Bristol, United Kingdom

Excellent service. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, particularly the French girl at reception. The room was very modern - clean, good TV, air conditioned and very comfortable bed. The bathroom had a nice touch with it with a history of Greenwich on the glass door. Only problem with the bathroom was that the water leaked through the shower window and so I had to mop it up with the towels each morning. The gym is a very small room with a treadmill, cycle machine and cross trainer, the latter of which broke as soon as I got on it. I wouldn't recommend the bar food as it is overpriced for what are essentially basic microwaved meal. Food and gym aside, a very pleasant stay and I would stay again.

Mercure London Greenwich: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Absolutely love stay. Couldn't have asked for more!"

After reading reviews here and there I was doubting whether I had made the right choice when I booked the Mercure. All I can say is that the hotel was fantastic in every respect. Getting to the hotel is very easy and the short journey from central means that the location is quiet and peaceful. Deptford Bridge is the closest tube stop, only 2 min walk, not Greenwich as it says on the website. The lobby and bar/resturant areas are very well decorated and I knew as soon as I stepped in and was greeted by the concierge that I had made the right choice of hotel. Our room was on the 7th floor and was very well presented. The TV had a personalised welcome message on that I thought was a great touch. The bed was comfortable, loads of pillows etc. The room was decorated very nicely with a high attention to detail, and although not enormous, it never felt cramped in the slightest. Large bathroom which was very nice. Good large shower. And all with views over Greenwich with the observatory visible on the hill! Staff were no problem at all and very accomodating. Can't comment on the food as we didnt eat at the hotel but it smelled great in the morning.I had a wonderful time at the Mercure and will definitely be booking to stay there again!

Mercure London Greenwich: 5.0 out of 5 stars "London hide away"

31st August 2013, janiceemccaster, Buffalo, New York, USA

Great hotel. Service at front desk and bar/restaurant area were excellent. It is about a 15 min train ride into central London. Station about 3 blocks away. It was in walking distance of other shops and stores.

Mercure London Greenwich: 1.0 out of 5 stars "No Pleasure at all"

5th August 2013, CYY2468, Paris

Except free parking, nothing I can make a compliment. Internet problem without solutions, optional breakfast became a commitment......front desk call charged me local call....though all these were finally waived after a big fight, very unpleasant experience, and I am an accor business member, very disappointed by this hotel
