ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Short Stay In the City"

16th January 2013, ahjayjay02, Singapore, Singapore

Ibis location is very convenient and near to the west gate of shinjuku station. Many shopping malls are nearby with good food in close proximity. The rooms are small but the beds and pillows are comfortable.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Close to the best of Shinjuku"

14th January 2013, adriancakra

Location is very prime. Near Shinjuku station, restaurants, bars/ pubs. Easy to find from the West Shinjuku station exit if you catch the Narita Express direct from Narita Airport. Room was very small but just enough overall. Friendly staff, speaks good English. Recommend place to stay in Shinjuku area!

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Best"

11th January 2013, RonySoegiono, Surabaya, Indonesia

The best location you can ask for... food, shoppping, accomodation... all nearbycleanliness, help of the staff. just ask for the front desk help if you wanna go anywhere in Tokyo. Alittle bit small room if you bring a family, you have to book for 2 rooms. Bathroom is too small too, but its ok if you wanna to travel light.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Hotel, but in need of refurbishment"

9th January 2013, good_day26, Tokyo, Japan

Good hotel with good location. I rented a total of three rooms (two rooms at any given time). The room quality is not constant. Some rooms are good, some are bad. I noted that the hotel's lobby and some room have been renovated, but not all of the rooms. Hopefully when the renovation finished, all will be constant.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 4.0 out of 5 stars "great location"

4th January 2013, DoreenKoh8, Singapore

The location of the hotel is great. It is close to nice eateries, pharmacies, convenience stores and shopping malls. Great location for shopping with Keio Plaza, Takashimaya and Odakyu nearby. Shinjuku Station is also within short walking distance. The rooms are small but it can accomodate 2 people in the room comfortably. Some people may find this hotel noisy as it is close to the main road and the police station is also nearby and that probably explains why we hear sirens at all times of the day. We are ok with the noise and could sleep well at night ( the bed is very comfortable ) but for light sleepers, you may want to consider another location. Wifi is stable and fast. For us, the main disadvantage of this hotel is that the airport limousine does not stop at this hotel. It stops at Shinjuku station, which is about 10 minutes away by foot...it may not seem far but if you are new to the place, bring along 2 kids and have heavy luggage to drag and need to read the map and look for the hotel, it is no fun!!Staff there are friendly, helpful and speaks good English. Breakfast selection is very poor. Not much variety of food available. It is better to eat elsewhere unless breakfast is included in your package.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Good location"

4th January 2013, Amii_Happii, Bangkok, Thailand

It takes 5-10 mins from West Shinjuku Exist to the hotel. The hotel is easy to find. The hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. There are Tokyo map and train map available at the hotel. There are many restaurants and shops near to the hotel. However, the room is a little bit small.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 4.0 out of 5 stars "good value and nice central location"

2nd January 2013, oakland

spent 3 nights at the Ibis in Shinjuku around christmas 2012. the hotel is conveniently located close to subway and JR stations. it is also close to other Shinjuku attractions. the property is generally clean and so is it the room. but the bathroom is a bit dated.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent Hotel"

30th December 2012, Nightclub, Chicago

Recently this hotel was nicely renovated and IBIS took over to manage it. The lobby design is comfort and morden. Room is simple and clean. Free WIFI every where in the hotel, the speed also is great. The location is surrounded by restaurants, shopping malls and subway stations (extremely convenience). 100% will stay again for my next Tokyo trip.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Usual Ibis standard plus"

14th December 2012, melbourne

This is a well located, comfortable and professionally run Ibis establishment. The breakfast buffet is substantial though if you are not used to Japanese room size you might find the dimensions less than substantial.Rather tight but clean and adequate. Not for shoppers or those with large wardrobe. The staff are helpful and attentive with varying levels of English communication ability.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel"

13th December 2012, Hong Kong, China

long time for the check-in procedure, late check-out service only provided to 12:00noon. no ice machine provided in the lobby. very good location in Tokyo. old equipments in bath room, not enough city map, magazines and newspapers will be provded in hotel lobby.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Street Noise"

6th December 2012, Grif65, Sydney, Australia

The rooms are very small ,even for Japan. The hotel has recently been renovated so the newness of everything is nice. The room was very warm and there is no control over temperature ,a normal problem in Japan in winter. The window did open slightly but the noise from revelers outside made it impossible to sleep with it open. In summer with the window closed and air-conditioning on cool it would be pleasant.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Value hotel with Good location"

17th October 2012, Aeronic1, Singapore

First thing first, the hotel is in a good location, within 5minutes walk to the train station. Furthermore there's a 24hrs Macdonald's conveniently located downstairs. However, there's no proper directions or instructions from the hotel website or even online that teaches you how to get to it from the Shinjuku station. Perhaps the hotel could try to draw up a map or write down better instructions to guide future guests to their hotel?Am a Accor Advantage Plus member and was kind of disappointed that this hotel only allows me to a late check-out till 12pm whereas that of Mercure Ginza would've given me till 4pm. So Accor Advantage Plus members take note.Stayed 2 nights in 2 different rooms and I must say, please book the double bed rooms if you do not want to stay in a sardine can (barely enough space to place our luggage). The Queen bedroom is small and it's wiser to book the room with 2 single beds and join the bed together for slightly more room space. Walked passed a single bed-room and it is even more pathetic. Unless you really don't mind such a small space. Not much selection for the tv channels so do not expect much. Otherwise, overall still a reasonable hotel for those seeking a value hotel in a good area.

ibis Tokyo Shinjuku: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good location, good price but very small room"

12th October 2012, surabaya

The room & bathroom was clean neat & tidy, but the room was very small.. from edge (bottom side) of bed to the wall only 40 cmBreakfast not many menu variation & have to wait for croissant about 5 minutes but the taste worth the wait.
