We were a group of two family (4 adults and 5 kids) stayed at ibis Styles Goa Calangute from Apr 11-13, 2024 booked rooms with Extra Benefits. We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were all well-mannered and attentive. So I provided a very good-rated Google review while leaving. I regret that hasty decision to provide immediate feedback. On Apr 12, we had a buffet dinner from Ibis. On Apr 13, after complimentary breakfast, kids started vomiting, and a few of our stomachs got upset. So we gave only curd rice from Ibis restaurant to the kids. By end of the day, we all ended up in the hospital due to food poisoning. It took us around 3 days to fully recover. Though we had a good experience at various Novotel restaurants. This was an eye-opener for us not to book rooms during off-seasons, even from a well-known group like Accor.

Good stay with pros and cons

Everything was good but few things like, We were with our child of 5 years, the bed size was not sufficient. In dessert no much option, they should include the cakes, pastries or different kinds of pudding. The day of checkout asked them to do cleaning at 9:30 am and our check out was at 12 pm, but they denied, that was very rude.

I had some issue with lift it was making noise and no AC or fan working in the lift. Although apart from that everything is on point. Staff Behaviour was good very professional.

Made to pay TWICE for my stay. I paid before I arrived when I initially booked - big mistake! Then made to pay again upon checkout. I showed proof of payment and was treated very rudely by staff who insisted I paid again, and then charged more the actual rate…scam much?! However, what irks me most about paying twice, is that I paid for a dirty mouldy room. I’ve never seen mould or dirt before like in this room. All the soft furnishings, pillows and light fittings covered with mould…disgusting! Paying twice to live in squalor.
