The hotel is really well located. The welcome was excellent and the staff member who welcomed us was not only extrenely friendly but also very helpful in giving us information and maps. We were also given free travel passes for our stay in Luzern which was very welcomed. The hotel itself is a bit tired. Our rooms were next to each other which was great as we were travelling with older children. The balcony's are a good addtion but are filthy and would look significantly better if they were just given a good power hose and sweep. Our room was not cleaned very well on the second day, the floor wasn't swept etc, but it was on the third morning. Perhaps this is policy for slightly longer stays. Breakfast was fine, but there was little understanding of allergies ( my son has a diary allergy). This is understandable but not expected from an IBIS. We brought food with us for him and there was soya milk so it didn't impact our stay too much. The check out was haphazard at best, the lady on checkout was outside smoking when we wanted to check out, we had actually aleady paid so it was fine to just leave our keys but we were surprised that she was so relaxed about it all and didn't even check that we had paid everything. The communcal areas are fine but again tired, the hallway carpet had not been hoovered for days and there were lots of marks on the walls. Again it jsut needs a little freshen up.

The onky thing we do not like was the room learning service , we there for 7 days - and they never changed the bed sheet in 7 days

The hotel is close to the COOP store and not too far from the train station.

The room is tiny and does not have a twin bed for two people. (only a queen size bed), which is suitable for couples or families but not for friends or co-workers. The toilet smells bad, probably because there is no ventilation fan.

A very basic room within Luzerne city. Its about 10-15 mins slow walking to the main train station. Room is okay size for 2 pax with basic amenities provided. Breakfast selection was also quite good with friendly staff in the hotel. Bed is also very comfortable after a long day walking around. Will probably return again if the price become more affordable as the room is quite outdated already.
