Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Gr8 stay !! Nice rooms !!"

31st January 2013, Rajeev0, Pune, India

It was a good hotel. But value for money. I will recommend this hotel. Superior Rooms- nice n specious , Bath - with Tub & wash area. Hot water anytime. Clean n tidy.Chk in - Very fast. No issues. Front desk - Helpful. Service - didn't use any.Location - just little away from metro & bur dubai. But if u get good deal its worth it as taxi is costly in dubai. Burjman also very close just 10- 15 ADE by taxi. Good veg restaurants there.Food - Didn't try as very less option for veg food.Travel desk - Helpful. Staff - very helpful. but less as it took us long time for chk out.Chk out - Allowed us for 1-2 hr late chk out even though hotel was full. We wanted to extend our stay by one day but it was sold out.Verdict - Go for it if its cheaper than Burjman or Bur duabi hotels.

Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Bad service"

27th January 2013, minliang_lim, Singapore, Singapore

When I arrived late at 3 am, the front desk without checking straight away told me they were fully booked. Until I have to highlight that i have prepaid and I even called a day earlier to inform that I will be arriving after 1 am.Secondly, according to the website there should be a welcome gift, but i have to ask for it for everyday for the 3 days of my stay until they reluctantly give it to me.Last by not least, the breakfast service was horrible, the staff just hang around not setting up tables properly, for 3 days, my table was without coffee/tea cup and no tea spoon for stirring the tea. I have to use the food spoon to stir my tea for the 3 days. The verdict is I will not stay in this hotel anymore, and I would suggest that you don;t stay here too.

Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Lots of help and concern"

9th October 2012, johnwilliam58, Singapore, Singapore

With Reference to the General Manager I want to express my heartfelt appreciation towards Mecure Gold Hotel and all of its staff members for the efforts made in professionally dealing and personally assisting me with my unexpected illness I have/caught guillqin berie syndrome (which affects the nerves), and I am in rehab at the Rahshid hospital dubaiGuillqin Berie Syndrom (GBS) is an unknown sourced nerve attacking syndrome.; I am off my feet and rehabbing them in order to restore the strength in them and to walk. GBS is rare and about one in 100000 are affected, but they do not know why. That is why GBS is a syndrome. I cannot walk nor take a plane, doctors’ orders.I especially want to thank and bring to your attention the kind and heartfelt efforts of your front desk man Abhishek. Abhishek is a very professional employee who has not forgot that service has both a professional functionary side and a personal side. Abhishek did more than what was called for in his contractual agreement. He called doctors, went to the hospital with me twice and waited for my results well beyond the end of his shift, called ambulances, assisted me in changes I had to make travel plans, helped me set up a local mobile phone, tried to help me access Wi-Fi at the Rashid Hospital, came to the hospital a number of times on his own time. I have never seen or experienced a hotel employee who went as far out of his way as Abhishek did in my case. I deeply respect the man, for he is of good moral fiber. Also Umer from IT helped me quite a bit including coming to the hospital and arranging things. Ganesh also made special efforts to help me pack, purchase medicine, transporting my luggage, kept control of my luggage when it was in my room. And of course, much of these efforts would not be possible without the oversight of Reena. In summary, I think all at Mecure Gold should be acknowledged for their effort, and especially so, Abhishek.

Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 4.0 out of 5 stars "MERCURE GOLD - REALLY GOLD ???? YES SURE TO A LARGE EXTENT"

15th September 2012, aashiesh1, Pune, India

Certainly a good place to be in. There are few things they must take care of like the price of Buffet Breakfast which is like $ 25 ++ per head is too much ...... There room service is great and concierge staff and duty managers at Reception are good and knowledgeable... very helpful .... they also have a bus stop right in front of the hotel which is an easy and convenient way to move around in Dubai ..... Also RTA bus station is very near .Travel to and from Airport is also not that bad

Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Must try harder!"

9th May 2012, LOUDSean, London

A nice new hotel with large clean rooms, but I left feeling disappointed.I found out my room was right over the bar's band's sound system (which would have done Glastonbury proud) at around 10:30 pm. At 12:30 I could take no more and rang down amazed they could rent rooms above and expect people to sleep. The front desk did say they would go and ask them to turn it down and it did get quieter. Before you ask, I sell sound systems so I am not unsympathetic to the problem, but it was excessive.Next was the bathroom. Very well appointed, but no hot water on the first day, and a 15 minute wait for hot water to finally limp through my running tap! After that was breakfast. A quite expansive spread but with the exception of the fresh bread, all the items tasted of nothing! I've never had that before. For example the orange juice was wet and orange in colour, but beyond that you would have no idea it was juice. My fresh cheese and mushroom omelette tasted of wet cardboard. To add insult to injury, you had to pay extra to use the cappuccino machine on top of your additional cost for breakfast. Cheapskates. The potential is there, they just need to go the extra mile to make it a true 4 star.

Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Mecure Gold Hotel"

19th March 2012, Southampton

This Mecure hotel is not up to the Mecure standard. Considering that the hotel only opened as a Mercure one month ago the standard of decoration and general feeling of the place was one of needing a face lift. The carpet in the bedroom was dirty and badly stained as were the the walls in some areas.

Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Shower + room"

Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Poor hotel with bad management"

28th February 2012, Almaty, Kazakhstan

Was a untypical party for Dubai area till 03.30 morning in lounge bar of hotel, reception desk switch off inroom telephone cause I called them every 30 minutes about loudy music on the floor where I supposed stay alone. Just when I said reception guy that I immediately call to police after 10 minutes they stop party.

Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road Dubai: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Slow management for check-in and check-out"

1st February 2012, Tokyo, Japan

When I was checking-in this hotel, it took more than 20 min. for check-in procedure due to have small reception and only one person was taken care of reception service. the situation for my check-out was same as check-in time. The problem is shortage of receptionist. Although there were another two manager who were standed at reception, nothing to help for one person in charge of receptionist.I felt that number of manager class is too much and active person in chage is too less.It should be chamnged the above. Otherwise, the customer will be deacleased in very near future.
