There is a great hotel, cleaner, neater, cheaper, with better service exactly opposite!! We travelled with a baby, were given a 1st floor room, no way of getting stroller up, construction going on all around, horrible breakfast!! Sad to consider this is a hotel!!

all seasons Auckland Ellerslie: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel survey"

The room was clean and comfortable, but my wife was not able to sleep well due to the cleaning fluid that had been used which had a very strong scent that permeated the room. There was no smoke alarm in the room, on enquiry at the desk I was informed that the hotel was in the middle of an upgrade. I would have thought that having building contractors around the hotel, smoke alarms would have been mandatory. Breakfast was not available at this hotel.

all seasons Auckland Ellerslie: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Come back in three months"

4th March 2012, waiheke, Auckland New Zealand

Booked online through Accor site which said free internet available at the motel but pay to use in rooms. Upon check in mine host said the website was wrong and there was no free internet. He then went on to tell us that they had only just joined the Accor group, in his opinion it was too early to join, the rooms were going to be re-furbished and there maybe free internet then, we should come back in three months when everything would be better. He had asked Accor to update the website etc. etc. Sorry but not a good first impression, as an A-Club Gold member I would have thought an offer of free internet would have not gone astray. The motel itself is an older style New Zealand motel, two stories with parking on site. The room was a reasonable size and clean, microwave, iron, electric jug, toaster, plates etc. The bathroom was old and a bit tatty, no hair drier or tissues supplied.I tried to phone a friend in another room, he could not reply – NO phone in his room. On a safety note there was NO smoke detector in the room, the holder was there but the smoke detector had been removed. When this was mentioned to mine host he said he had removed the smoke detectors because they were old.To complete a trio of no’s I the morning there was NO water, hot or cold, could not even flush the toilet. I understand that during the night the room below mine had flooded and the water had been turned off. After phoning mine host I was shown another room where I could shower etc.In my opinion the Accor management have bought themselves a bit of a lemon in this property and to save damage to the brand the best thing would be to close it down until it can be brought up to minimum Accor standard.
