So this is low cost accommodation but the location is in a quiet area and very convenient for the city centre, 5 mins walks from two tram stops. Hotel was quiet giving a good nights sleep. Swimming pool is a big bonus for families (not many hotels in central Bordeaux with a pool). Kitchen equipment appears to have been reduced, we had to asks for cups! (you are supposed to use bowls apparently). No kettle or wine glasses also a surprise although other rooms did have a kettle. Overall quite satisfied. L'univerre restaurant on the way to the tram is well worth a visit.

The elevator was broken for 3 days and our room was in 4th floor. There wasnt hair dryer, the bad and sofabad were terrible. I would never stay again at this Adagio. The recepcionist was rude. The only good thing was the location, that was ok.

I booked a studio here as it was sold as having a 'fully equipped' kitchen, allowing me to prepare food as I would be there for 10 days. It said it had a pool, and all the other stuff. The reality was, the room was tiny. The kitchen was just a small bench with sink, it had a microwave and stove top, but no kettle to boil water or a toaster. These are the things that are standard in a kitchen. They wouldn't clean the room and wanted to charge a 'cleaning package' if you wanted this, what a joke! They stated the bathroom had a bath. They failed to say it was for midgets, measuring less than 1m x 1m. Ridiculous. The bathroom also stunk of urine, possible dripping down the walls from other levels, who knows. I had to buy a variety of cleaning products to clean daily to disguise this smell. The internet DID NOT WORK, despite numerous visits to reception to sort this out. There was another woman at the desk trying to sort out the internet problem also, however staff were telling us they have spoken to everyone and no one else has a problem. The washing machine did not work in the laundry room and when it took the money and didn't return it the staff said it is managed by another company and they would have to request a refund from them. Wow, so helpful. The pool on offer was out the back at the car park. You have to walk out of the front entrance of the hotel and walk through the car park to get to it. I did bother even though I specifically booked this property for the pool. I doubt it was clean and didn't want to risk catching something. All in all it was disgusting. Only one of the receptionists was nice, the lady who checked me in, the others were nasty. Just bother staying here. There are much nicer places and one I went to which was also much closer to the centre of town, Mama's Shelter. Now that is a REAL hotel, with real service and facilities for not a lot of money.
Dear Madam, Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion about your stay in our Rental Apartment. We are sorry that it did not meet your full expectations, and we would like to offer you a sincere apology. For the Wifi, we just changed our Internet offer from August 20th to get a better connection. Regarding of the swimming-pool, please be sure that everything is safe and cleaned. We had 3 controls this summer whose were all corrects. We hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again soon at one of our Adagio aparthotels in Europe. Yours faithfully, Sandra Delon, Genaral Manager
The bad points: no lift! This was en panne the whole of our 5 night stay and there was no sign of any repair activity; a Greek lady guest told us that it was not working for the previous fortnight. The room was a bit poky - like a 60's student room. No air conditioning and though they promised a courtyard room, our room fronted the street and was noisy at times with the window open. The good points: location- bakers (2 min) bike station (5 min) Carrefour (5 min) Palais de Justice tram (< 10 min) Cathedral square (15 min) Place Gambetta/La Globe cafe good happy hour offer (15 min) Place Victoire'loads of bars and cafes (15 min) Quais (20 min). Although a bit dated the room was quite well equipped. Staff were friendly and there was a minimum of fuss.
The apartment was very good value for money. It had a single bed , a small kitchen area with 2 ring cooker, fridge & microwave, & a normal size hotel bathroom. The location is a little further from the centre than expected but only about 20 mins walk. The location is good as it is near both the town centre & a large shopping centre which includes a large Auchan hypermarket. The staff were very pleasant & helpful & spoke both French & English (where necessary.) I would stay there again.
