"overpriced tiny room"

£125 for a small tired room, had to call to get the towel rail fixed that was hanging down and try getting the water to run away down the sink was a puzzler. The staff were great and very positive I guess if I had paid £60 for the room I would have been happy. But again I have to say the staff were great.View management response »

Room was small - acceptable for a weekend stay but not very practical with limited shelf storage space only for clothing and other personal belongings. Would not wished to have spent longer particularly with holiday clothing, cases etc..Staff and meals facilities were good and staff were very welcoming and helpfull.View management response »

"Nice place good location but small room."

I was in glasgow for 3 months and tried a few places there are a lot to choose from in the mid range around the same prices(vary a lot depending on demand).This place is a good location easy access to the city center and merchant city area on foot and close enough to the subway to get further like the the west end.The room I had was on the allyway and did suffer some noise from somewhere.I would not hesitate to stay again for a night or two at a time but the rooms are small so don't lend themselves to longer stays or if you want space to work.Great for a short city stay, overnight business if you want a central location.View management response »

The hotel does have a great location within the city centre, allowing for easy access to most of the amenities.I am sorry that your stay was disturbed by noise, we do work closely with our neighbours to ensure noise is kept to a minimum however, sometimes it can be the downside of a city centre location. "Great value City Centre Hotel"

Having arrived at hotel, were met by a very friendly receptionist who provided directions to hotel car park. Room was quite small, but clean and adequate. Bathroom was nice, with a good shower and plenty of towels provided. Breakfast provided was first class with plenty of choice. Found all staff very friendly. Would definately stay here again for location, food and friendliness. Great value for city centre hotel!!View management response »

"Convenient hotel, small rooms."

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel but there were same basics missing which I thought were odd for a hotel of this brand. The staff were very friendly and professional, and this hotel offers a 15% discount on parking in the nearby Glasshouse Multi-Storey. The location is also very convenient for both Glasgow's mainline railway stations. However I stayed for a night when it was very hot, and the room was tiny, and had no air-conditioning, or cooling of any kind. Whilst the staff were helpful, polite and the hotel is conveniently located, the hotel needs to update the rooms.View management response »

"Good Value But Hot and Noisy"

I got a very good rate for the room which was fine overall although a little small (OK for one). The location, right in the centre of Glasgow, is very convenient for the stations and shops. Unfortunately the room was noisy (from outside and adjoining rooms) and, as it was probably one of the hotest days in Glasgow for years, the room was uncomfortably hot.View management response »

Also, the bedrooms do not have air conditioning installed, which for Glasgow is not normally a problem, as we rarely benefit from such hot weather on the west coast. "good and friendly"

spent two nights in this hotel earlier this month (July) and enjoyed the experience. we were on the 7th floor and the room size was not what could be termed generous and initially the window only opened a small amount to allow in fresh air. after mentioning this to reception the next morning however, we were offered either a change of room or a fan and someone to sort the window. we chose the latter and by the time we returned from our exploring of Glasgow the window was open and the fan was cooling the room. Full marks to Reception and whoever did the job.we chose the half-board option which was probably not a good idea as we did not make full use of it on either of our days. the cost of breakfast - £13.95 - is quite expensive for what was on offer and the restaurant menu was quite limited.We did enjoy our stay however, and would return due to the friendliness of the staff and the excellent location of the hotel.View management response »
