The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The restaurant offers choice and nicely cooked food at reasonable cost. For a hotel with pool and leisure facilities the rates are extremely reasonable. The room was in need of a little refreshing, paint and tiles a bit jaded, however the bed was very comfortable and they offered decaf financed teas and coffees as part of the complimentary room facilities. Overall good value.
the hotel is very good and friendly with the staff and the rooms are kelped clean if there one thing i would say could be better and that is a fridge in the rooms as i do like to have a cold drink during the night
Dear 146honda, Thank you for comments following your stay at the Mercure Hull Grange Park, it sounds like you had a good stay. For future reference we do have limited amount of fridges behind Reception for this very purpose. Many Thanks Jeff
The Hotel was very busy on the night of our stay so we couldn't get in the restaurant. We ate in the bar which was OK if a bit drafty. The room (standard double) was fine, the bed was great, but the pillows were a bit hard but slept well enough. The bathroom probably needs to be updated in the next year or so. The view from our room was of the garden. Breakfast was a standard buffet, there wasn't much room (too many tables), and some of the food was not as warm as it should have been but by and large the breakfast was OK. Overall if you are visiting the area the hotel offers value for money.
Dear 781jim, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us, we greatly appreciate it. Some of our bedrooms do need a refresh and we are working with our owners towards this. Hopefully, this will be all finished within the next few months. We hope you will come back later in the year and see the progress yourselves. Kind Regards Jeff
I have stayed here many times and it doesn't change, the rooms are average the food is average and the service average. I had to go find someone to serve me at the bar for an expensive glass of wine (could of bought a bottle for the same price) and the bar was smelly and dirty.
Hello Martyn H, Thank you for your review. I am sorry we have not met your expectations at during your stay, we are currently working with our new owners to improve the hotels and there is always a rolling refreshment programme. We hope you will return again. Regards Jeff
Perfectly adequate. Room clean.Bed comfy. WiFi reasonably fast for work. Stayed at a weekend. Weddings on both Friday and Saturday. Lots of unruly children running along the corridors on 1st night. Ok second night. Food ok, nothing special. Would use again for business only. Not somewhere I would take my wife for a night or two...
Seanxair, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay in the hotel. Unfortunately, seanxair, we seem not to off made your stay better than ok. I am very sorry as this is not the standard we want. We will take your comments on board as we strive to be better. Kind Regards Jeff
Our stay at the grange Park was most enjoyable, and we could not believe how much it had improved between our previous stay(eighteen months ago) and our recent stay. The room was superb, and the staff were friendly, but unobtrusive. The quality(and quantity) of the food at dinner was excellent, and the presentation carefully considered. Breakfast was self service, but well presented and nicely cooked. We can recommend this hotel without reservation, and we shall certainly be back to enjoy another visit. The only criticism was that the beer was £4-60 per pint, which seemed rather excessive, as did the wine at £20 per bottle!
Dear barry_ian, Thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel and for giving us a second try after what sounds a slightly dissapointting stay. We have worked very hard to improve the hotel, the service and what we provide and this has been shown by guest comments and the AA awarding us our 4th star. Our beverage prices are competitve in the market, however your comments have been noted and passed onto our Food and Beverage manager. We hope to see you in the near future so you can see our further improvements. Kind Regards Jeff
