- Our check in was smooth! Some of the staff were wonderful But there after we came across many issues which is sad for the price we paid and the well-known brand name of Mercure under Accor. - Pillows and beds not comfortable - as if they had been used for years, they were bending in the middle. - Pillows were hard - The pool water needs to be temperature controlled, not everyone likes icy water! - The pool and spa requires some replacement, lots of rust around the ducts - The food at Lobby Bar was average and cold when served. They ran out of something we ordered, we had to order again on a new transaction, we got charged another surcharge for something that was not our fault We couldn't even get a breakdown of the items we ordered when we asked for it. - We opted not to have our rooms cleaned and advised reception - based on the note left in the rooms, there was no mention of when to tell reception, simply that we had to tell reception! But the hard time we got and I noticed this same behavior with another customer as well. We have done this in many hotels and simply telling reception (at no particular time) was sufficient for the voucher, but the reception staff at Mercure gave us such a hard time just because we didn't tell them the day before and only mentioned it to the room service staff. - At the time of checkout, we couldn't even get a breakdown of all the items we were paying for. I had to waste an hour to figure out all the costs, until one of the managers tried to work it out and gave me an itemized bill. Overall I have been to Accor hotels before but never had such issues and am pretty disappointed with some of the service.
