« Wedding anniversary stay. »

My wife and I recently stayed at the Fairmont Resort in Leura to celebrate our 45 th wedding anniversary. We were impressed with the welcome by the staff, most of whom had obviously been made aware of our special occasion. A fruit platter was bought to our room along with a bottle of wine. Dinner that night at the Eucalypt Restaurant was delicious and was made even more special when a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries appeared at our table along with a congratulatory message. We had opted for a deluxe room with a balcony and were impressed with its size and the beautiful view over the ponds and trees in their Autumn colours. Over the next three days we had most meals at the hotel and were impressed by the quality of the food. An added bonus was the discount on the food bill when we presented our Accor Advantage Plus membership. The weather was "crisp" so the log fire in the Embers Bar was most welcome. Overall, a most relaxing and enjoyable long weekend. We will most certainly do it again.

« OK but could do better »

Reception on arrival was fine though parking at a premium. Room was clean and well appointed. Problem with a/c in accommodation wing we were housed was not declared on arrival and took 4 requests over 36 hours to finally have a chiller fault identified and a/c working by 2nd day. The room was too hot without a/c even with windows open. Staffing in café and bistro on the low side leading to service delays. Bistro food was average and expensive, other options required bookings in advance. We ate out locally - more choice, better prices. Pool and other facilities were fine, though 2 tennis courts require refurbishment. Checkout was efficient but impersonal.

Dear louisecM8149TP Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay with us, we truly appreciate and value guest feedback. I am pleased you enjoyed the extensive facilities provided by the resort, however apologise that other areas of the resort let you down - certainly never our intention or want I assure you. I wanted to let you know of a comprehensive refurbishment plan currently in place for the resort. Many areas have been completed but there remain some public areas and accommodation rooms to be actioned - which are being done as a matter of priority. We are due to open a 14 treatment room Day Spa at the end of the year (which will also open up additional carparks) and while two tennis courts have been redone - the remaining 2 will be updated in the future as part of our plan. We are also refreshing the outdoor pol area as well as adding a sauna room to the indoor pool area. We are confident you will continue to notice improvements should you choose to return. Apologies for the air conditioning issue while in house - this is indeed a rarity and has now been rectified. Your comments on our dining options have been shared with our Executive Chef as well. Guest service is an absolute focus for us and I was disappointed in reading your comments about an impersonal check out and sincerely apologise. Much time, energy and resources are spent on customer service and we have a genuinely caring team here who care for our guests and their experience here - I am just sorry this was not reflective in your case and again have shared it with staff. Thank you once again for sharing your concerns and it is our hope and wish that you choose to return to experience our normal high levels of both service and product that have so many of our guests returning time and again. « Superb hotel in a sensational location »

My wife and I recently spent three days at the Fairmont Resort and it was one of the best stays anywhere in the world. The setting is sensational and facilities offered were excellent. The views from the restaurant over the Jamieson Valley were great. The staff were friendly and attentive. The pool both indoor and outdoor were great. For families the facilities for children were terrific. We stayed in a balcony room with views over the Jamieson Valley which I would recommend.
