Great Location. Curtains and bathrooms etc could use a bit of updating but over all very nice stay. recommended hotel & shall be visiting again! Had a breakfast in the hotel restaurant in the morning have to admit it was absolutley lovely really enjoyed it staff in the hotel were brilliant.View management response »

The hotel itself is nice but I have a few quarms around the room. 1. After my first night my room was never remade up to my surprise on return that night.2. The bed annoys the hell out of me the sheets are so small that as soon as you get into/onto the bed they come untucked causing you to become entangled.Little things but overall big things when you are a hotel.View management response »

I appriciate your feedback and based on your comments regarding to the size of our bed sheets, we have decided to change all sheets to king size, which means they fit better on our matrasses. Staff were very polite and caring. The heating in my room abysmal but my friends room was warm and cosy. Noisy guests returning to rooms late at night, there was a wedding reception being held in the hotel. Unable to comment on other services and I did not use them. The trade off for being situated in the town centre is the noise of sirens and late night party goers.View management response »
Management responseThank you for your review. As a city centre hotel, we do have passing traffic that on occassions can be heard in the hotel. Especially ambulances etc will be heard, however that is part and parcel of our location. Please accept my apologies for the lack of care shown by your fellow residents upon returning to their rooms. The Duty Manager and night staff work under strict instruction to monitor any guest movements that can be to detriment of the hotel. I apologies for the fact that we failed to pick this up on this occassion. Unfortunately I am unable to explain your heating issue. I hope that you will stay with us in the near future and sample the rest of our offering. Stayed at a discounted rate and proved to be very good value. For an old building the walls seemed surprisingly thin where we were (Room 267) and we could easily hear the conversations next door, but overall very good.

Excellent Location. Rooms a little small, however I did have a discounted rate via voucher code, maybe that is why. Clean facilities. I would stay again, but not at full price

For the price, it was great. I needed a good hotel near the station. It is obviously a very old building but in good condition.
