"The cleanliness MUST be improved"
23rd September 2013, 13rain, Bangkok, Thailand
The room that I got was really nice, but the cleanliness in the bathroom totally turned me off when I found blood on the hose. It was unacceptable. Moreover, the bathtub wasn't cleaned properly. I was very disappointed.
"Hotel with a great view"

I've read about the good reviews of this hotel therefore I decided to stay there. It's out of the city therefore taxi would cost more. This place is for people who likes the peace and quiet surroundings so that they can relax. The pool has a very good view of the surrounding mountains. It's quite small in size though and there are only about 10 deck chairs. The pool is located outside the restaurant so if you swim during meal times, it's in full view of the diners. The architecture of the place is quite unique in local Thai style. The room and service are great. The hotel provide free shuttle to the night market which is a plus. The channels on tv are quite limited though. Although they rent out DVD for free, the selection is also quite limited. I hope that the hotel can subscribe to more channels like Channel V , HBO, FOX etc.
"Don't let i end"

The resort is so stunning with nice view, fresh air and best services. I can take my breathe with free and let the rest come easy. The room is so tidy with garden view that I can touch with nature and cover with hill. I fall in love with Veranda and hope to visit back again.
"Invites Total Relaxation"

We have just returned from 15 days in Chaing Mai, of which we spent 7 days at Veranda High Resort. We were most impressed with the staff, in particular with Neung who went out of his way to look after us, which was truly appreciated. The food was lovely and with the exception of one evening we ate at the resort, though it would have been nice if the Higher Room (Restaurant) was open during the evening, as having a choice of two restaurants would have been nice. Our room was delightful, though beds are very firm ... once again it would have been nice to see a more comfortable bed and a selection of pillows, especially considering that this is a high end luxury resort, but for all intents & purposes we were most comfortable. Rooms are serviced daily & are very clean.I also utilized the Spa service with a 3.5 hour pamper session, which was divine.Loved the effort most staff went to in their endeavour to practice their English at every opportunity.Would definitely stay again :)View management response »

"Much better than expected considering the age of the property"

Initially wanted to book a jacuzzi villa, coz the photos of the deluxe rooms did not give them justice. Fortunately my friend who had stayed in Veranda High b4 advised me to try out their deluxe room and I wasn't disappointed. In fact, Verandah High gave me such a good impression that I got disappointed with my subsequent stay with Zensala (a boutique resort that sits next to the ping river). Verandah High made a conscientious effort to ensure that mosquitoes do not become a distracting factor during your stay. The design of the hotel gives guests a feeling of relaxation. The highlight of the hotel is it's infinity pool that overlooks the mountain area surrounding the resort. Go to Higher Room (the restaurant next to the pool) for breakfast and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. It's a hotel that I will definitely recommend friends!
"Spend 3 nights ..."

The hotel is nice and the staff is very pleasant and willing to accommodate all reasonable requests. The property from the pictures appears to be much larger – the pool is small and becomes crowded very quickly. The design aspects of the property lead to high maintenance requirements which at time are not practical for a hotel. The property is about 5 years old, however appears to be much older and is in need of work to retain standards that I suspect the designer imagined.Limited restaurant options within the property and while the property does offer transportation services to the city there are two fixed departures every day with fixed return times. We stay 3 nights and the area can be discovered in 2 nights/3 days.
