"Good area"

That's all, only hotel in center and big pool. Small room and not comfortable. A water isn'n smell good. Service good, but belt is not professional. Don't have a lot of area for smooking. Area around don't have a good choice for breafasr, lunch and dinner.

A new hotel just outside of the buzz of Patong but only 5 minutes walk away. This is my second stay at the new Novotel after my last stay in the midst of the final stages of construction. This time the staff seemed to be much more competent although the first day the housekeeping staff overlooked cleaning my room. The breakfast buffet is top class even though I am content with just cereal and fruit, but everyone else was making the most of it. The only complaint is that the fruit juice isn't really fruit juice, just some watered down imitation. For a resort like this they could easily improve this as you expect this for a 2 star resort. Fantastic pool and swim up bar, the biggest pool in Phuket I'm told. Great service, big smiles. I would come back for a third visit if the price is right.

Reviews on here seem to be very harsh. People that complain staff can't speak English - I had no problems communicating. People complain about being far away from bangla - come on people get over yourselves its maximum 10min walk! People complain of noisy pool area- pool area was very serene throughout day and then pool barwould play music later in afternoon but made for a great atmosphere. My stay at this hotel was nothing short of pleasurable. Only gripe is wifi signal sometimes weak, but I didn't come on holidays to google. Make sure you spend some time in the night blooming bar, the musical duo 'He & She' that play every Monday to Saturday evening are just terrific, so entertaining and take requests! Will definitely stay here again!
"Great place that can cater for all"

When I was there there were all types of traveller from families to couples to a business conference. This place can cover all. Though I was happy with the place there were a few little items such as some scuff marks and bits and pieces that should have been fixed prior to the room being opened and getting a coffee at breakfast. Though aside from that the pool is fantastic, the pool bar is better and the staff at the bar are fantastic, happy to get anything you need, want or just general chit chat. The gym and other facilities are great and standard of the buffet breakfast is top shelf assuming some of your fellow guests don't grab the entire tray of danishes and put them in their bag so no one gets one! Karma will get you. Close to the beach, close to Bang la for nightlife but far enough away to be quiet and attracts a nice breeze at the end of each day to cool you down after a tough day lying on a deck chair at the beach. Well done on this resort Novotel.
"promises but doesnt always deliver"

The place is new, but has no "soul" and I assume some of my own issues are merely start-up problems. But some things that I didnt appreciate: Pillows were the worst I have slept on for a long time, Plug socket on my desk for work didnt work and no change for the duration of my 1.5 days there despite me asking for help. Breakfast was included in my rate, but instead of normal tea or coffee, I asked for green tea - BIG MISTAKE - after much explanation I was made to PAY for it extra as it wasnt standard. The lady supervisor was clearly embarrassed by this. ridiculous. On check in the two guys made me feel very welcome as a Club A and Business member so that helped, but really it was not enough. I think things will improve here, but I cant help being disappointed by this as a regular Accor stayer.

7 of us family members ,spent a week at this very nice hotel,and were very pleased at all the aspects of this almost new hotel. Location was at the quieter end of patong,10 minute walk to Jungceylon & Bangla rd. The whole staff ,from housekeeping , reception, pool bar ,bell boys, & not forgetting the staff from the restaurant ,were brilliant. there was a bit of late noise but nothing too bad. I do think regular fogging for mosquitoes and other insects is much needed.Value was ok & linen was changed daily. Free internet in the rooms, but local telephone from the rooms seemed high. Pool area was very good , with happy hours from 4pm to 6pm. Overall a good hotel which I would gladly recommend.
"A week in Phuket"

The hotel is a large hotel one street back from Patong beach close to the haggling world of shopping and eating. The pool and swim up bar is excellent and very enjoyable, the staff in these areas were very friendly, well appointed gym with help available, the restuarant had one of the best buffets we have experienced and breakfast catered for both western and asian well. The rooms were a good size and well appointed however the insulation between rooms was less than satisfactory with noise transference particularly with the A/C turned off. Overall an enjoyable experience.
