ibis Munich City South - hotel reviews in Munich

Hotel code: 8075 customer reviews in partnership with TripAdvisor

ibis Munich City South: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Cheap and cheerful."

4th September 2013, ajmac2410, Portsmouth, United Kingdom

Budget hotel, limited parking although there is a reasonable (€9/24h) car park in the next block. Watch out for traffic wardens in the street outside the hotel, one appeared just after I had loaded the car. Basic breakfast available is OK but not great value compared to others, there is a golden arch outlet around the corner, as well as a Wienerwald on the next corner which is useful since the restaurant only does snacks in the evening. Bar service is poor, seems like a staffing issue (not enough staff). Staff are however friendly and helpful. Public transport links are good from either of two nearby U-Bahn stations.

ibis Munich City South: 4.0 out of 5 stars "NICE SURPRISE IN MUNICH"

27th June 2013, Runningnic, Pistoia

Hotel with outside and inside like complying with the standard image of ibis. Very functional and cosy rooms, the structure is actually located not far from the City and the main interesting points of the city. Comfortable parking. Small lobby. Good for functional stayings. I also found very friendly and comprehensive personnel ready to help in any evenience (I was experiencing some troubles with my baggage in that occasion). Rooms look new and, as usual, very very very comfortable bed/mattress which halps to relief the pains of many hours' driving. Only Pity: no restaurant in the house and the nearest places are some minutes away in walking distance.

ibis Munich City South: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Breakfast problem"

6th November 2012

The breakfast was chaotic all three mornings we stayed. Far too few tables, all the time somethng missing; glasses, empty juice cans, spoons, fruit sallad, etc. Apart from that, rooms are pleasant and quiet spacious. Bus stop close to the hotel but from end station still 25 min walk to city centre.

ibis Munich City South: 3.0 out of 5 stars "far from city, overpriced parking - funky rooms, OK for overnight stay"

21st October 2012, FAMLANGE, on RTW trip until Dec10

This hotel is about 12km from Muenchen, but somehow, there is very limited street parking, and the hotel car park is overpriced for this location, at 15 Euros per night! Luckily, there is a good pizzeria 3 minutes away. The rooms have been remodeled Ibis Styles, really cool, but on the building, the huge signs still shows "Euro Suites"- it should have already been replaced. Mid-October, the renovation works were finished, so there is no longer any noise, etc. as described by reviewers in Sept. There is no complimentary water, as used to be standard with All Seasons hotels before they became Ibis Styles. Breakfast was good. Overall, good for an overnight stay, but far from the city and bummer parking!
