"Last Night in London"

I stayed here when I arrived in London earlier in the week and I like it mainly due to its central location to nearly everything. Choose a slightly bigger room (a notch up than the smaller room) and I'll advise travelers not to waste their money. Room was just slightly bigger and you'll probably need to look hard to notice the difference.

"Not to the Mercure standard"

Stayed in the hotel on Friday and Saturday nights. The airconditioning system did not work properly and the room was very hot on the Friday night. Reported the problem to reception on Saturday and was told it would be fixed. When we came back to the hotel in the evening, the room was still very hot and could not be cooled. The manager came to the room and confirmed that the A/C unit had not been fixed even though the maintenance report said that it was working properly. Then found that the window could not be opened so another restless night. In addition, the water in the shower was warm but not hot. Not a patch on other Mercure hotels in which we have stayed and very poor value for the price charged. As the hotel was fully booked on the Saturday night the only remedy offered was a free drink at the bar. We will not stay at this hotel in the future.

"A long weekend break from snowy Scotland"

Just to say that the Hotel was very clean and staff were tops. Made for a perfect stay in a good central location with tubes and bus services close to hand. Rooms on the small size, but the cleanliness of the Hotel makes up for it.Breakfast was good and we had pre-warned the Hotel in advance that my wife was a a coeliac and could not eat wheat/gluten. So gluten free bread/toast was offered to her at breakfast, so another plus. Finally, Patrick who was serving in the dining room was a top man and looked after everyone like a king....well done that man.

"Rabbit Hutch"

Most of the hotel was good, staff and service very good. Only meal taken was breakfast which was trouble free and hot, coffee was excellent.As we were only staying 2 nights I did not complain about the room which was dreadful. There was no space to walk past the bed, the bottom was only 12 inches from the wall. There was no drawer space at all for small garments, the wardrobe was small and filled with an ironing board. The only place to see the television set was to stand in the entrance it was in line with the bed headboard, facing the wardrobe. Quite the worst room I have ever stayed in.

Lumpy pillows with no choice, very small bedrooms. Nice, friendly, helpful staff apart from breakfast manager who was ver difficult. Breakfast a different price every day. Good to have dressing gowns and complimentary soft drinks.

"A pleasant stay"

The hotel was up to our expectations. Clean and well run. The room was on the small side but adequate. The size issue was probably reflected in the reasaonable price. Similarly the location was slightly remote from the purpose of our visit, but again in our opinion the price took this factor into account.

"Good, clean quiet place but very small rooms"

Nice enough place that doesn't cost as much as staying right in the city. I have stayed a few times. Has a huge supermarket next door and is on direct tube line from Heathrow. Not a bad base for west (harrods and museums) and central london. If you want to be closer to city then either pay more or get a much lower standard.Staff are nice and the rooms are clean and in line with Mercure brand. 5mins walk to Glouster Road tube

"Nice hotel, needs new mattresses"

A decent hotel, good location and very friendly staff. The beds are poor though, they feel like the mattresses need renewing.Other than that, it's a decent hotel. With a bit of investment, it'd be a four star hotel.

Nice place to stay if you want to be reasonably central but not in the thick of it. Easy walk to Natural History and Science Museums. Walk to underground. Even to Harrods! Very pleasant staff and nice and clean.

"Second trip to London"

Location was great . easy access to Earl's Court Station, Kensington palace, Victoria and Albert Musuem. plenty of places to eat nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was room was a bit small.
