modest but comfortable rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast and walking distance from the museum of natural history ,the vicroria and albert museum, royal albert hall and hide park. there were many maintenance problems.
Hava Thank you for taking the time to post a review following your recent stay at the Mercure London Kensington Hotel. I am pleased that you enjoyed the majority of your stay with us. I am sorry to hear that you had many maintenance problems in your room. Did you report them? I am not aware of any one room having had many issues reported. However I will now be getting our maintenance team to have a look. Again thank you for the review. Kind Regards Lisa Lisa Kearney General Manager
A very smart hotel. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was freshly made with lots of choice. It was in a good location not far from Kensington High Street. The only downside was there was very little room to even walk round the bed.
Dear Gaughanmarion I am so pleased that you enjoyed your weekend break with us. I do hope that we can welcome you back soon, perhaps in one of larger rooms where you will have more space. All the rooms are marked on our websites so when you next book you will be able to choose the room the suits you better. Kind Regards Lisa Lisa Kearney General Manager
We experienced a very friendly stay by all the staff. They were efficient, polite, enjoyed a chat and very friendly. Alos helpful regarding any requests. Staff who deserve a mention are. In the Bar area Salvador Lloret and Kevin. Reception staff Carmen Dambu, Danielle Silva, Maria Gracia and Imed. These staff were all wonderful young people. Also the Irish manager, think her name is Lisa. Only one small complaint was toilets were slow to fill and shower pressure not great. Location was excellent as new area, so close to good transport links. Overall the Mercure made us feel welcome. we were in London for 10 days and could not fault our stay. From New Zealand
Dear Stephanie Thank you for taking the time to complete such a lovely review following your recent departure from the Mercure London Kensington. I am delighted that you have enjoyed your time with us and we are all looking forward to having you return to us very soon. Kind Regards Lisa Lisa Kearney General Manager
Hotel is in good location. The initial room we were allocated was tiny with a small double bed and 3 clothes hangers for two people for three nights! My reservation had said Superior Room with large luxurious bed. After I complained we were allocated a better and larger room with a bigger bed. It was clean but dated. The breakfast was good. The staff were very courteous.
Dear Ciaran Thank you for you for your review. I appreciate your feedback and will be using this example as a training tool for the staff in order to improve on the standards that we provide. Kind Regards Lisa Kearney General Manager
The hotel is well situated but unfortunately we had bad luck with the rooms TV not working electrical sockets not working and no heating for a month of February is not possible. The 6th floor must be avoided.
Dear Bangkra I have responded to your complaint via the email that you had sent to me on Saturday. Perhaps you should have let me respond to that before you posted such a scathing review on Tripadvisor. Then again, perhaps I should have read Tripadvisor before I responded to your email. However, you are entitled to your opinion and I appreciate the feedback. This is the only way that the hotel can learn and grow stronger. I look forward to your response to my email. Kind Regards Lisa Kearney General Manager
This is a clean and comfortable hotel in a good location for visiting London and at a great price. Breakfast is extra but again is good value - self service but with plenty of variety, including all the components of a full English.
