This hotel is in a perfect location. A two minute walk from Paddington station and the Heathrow Express, the tube and buses outside the door. The are plenty of quality restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are small but comfortable with everything that you would want and appear to have been recently refurbished and very clean. We were at the front but double glazed windows eliminated any possible noise. The staff were friendly and helpful -would definitely stay again.

The hotel room was actually okay, but I do have a very unpleasant experience with Accord Hotels group when I made the reservation which may probably stop me from booking its room in the future. As a Le Club Accord Platinum member, I booked a small double room at 30% off on the first few days of its Summer Sale Promotion in June through Accord's official website. Base on the common sense "first come first served", I booked the room immediately while stock last. Prepayment for the room was needed and there would be no refund on cancellation. However, two days later, I found out from the same webpage that the same type of room was sold at 40% off.How could the hotel sell rooms at cheaper rate later? This was NOT fair to those customers who had bought the rooms earlier on. What a poor promotion scheme it had!I was extremely angry and disappointed about what Accord Hotels group had done. I complained to the hotel group at once and asked for an explanation together with appropriate correction action, but there has been no response (even up till now, 2 months already), despite I have sent several emails to the group. Thisdefinitely annoyed me further.When I checked-in at the hotel, I made the complaint again about the "no response". The receptionists did not apologise or give me any answer, they simply gave me an email address and asked me to contact the hotel group again.I don't know, please judge if you like this type of service for your stay. And remember, Accord's rooms are never cheap!

Mercure London Paddington: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very good stay"

Very good hotel. Location is very convenient, small room but very comfortable with great bed. We just had one problem regarding the bed: When you arrived in the hotel in the first day we noticed that the bed sheet apparently had not been changed so than we just asked for an extra one and let them know about that. Besides that everything was very clean.The staff is helpful and kind.

Mercure London Paddington: 4.0 out of 5 stars "wonderful location"

We just spent 4 days in this hotel , but was enough to enjoy it. Mainly fot the location, , justa a few blocks from the Hyde Park and on the corner of Paddington Station . We can go to every place in a few minutes and also, we can go and come back from the airport by train,walking with baggages easly. The roomas are a little bit small, and if you are most than 2, it will be a problem with space , luggages and more. But it is a good choice.
