"Excellent location hotel and good service."

This is a typical Ibis hotel in a perfect location for those wanting to be in a lively area with lots of shope/restaurants etc on the doorstep. Despite this the silence inside the hotel made sleeping easy....except for nocturnal goings on involving dubious ladies of the night who disturbed us two nights running. To his credit the manager, Fergus, told us he was aware of this problem and was working hard to resolve it,which I am sure he will and it should not put off anyone wanting what this hotel offers.The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was interesting, hardly continental but ok for the price.The value for money element at this hotel is excellent.

90% of all attractions worthwhile seeing in Shanghai are all within a 10 to 15 minute walk. from this hotel. Clean, efficient and friendly staff, and cheap. If I have to think of the weakest point-- the breakfast-- rather go to Starbucks which is just around the corner.

I booked a twin bed room but when i got to the hotel only double bed was left but the hotel staff didn't say sorry about that. I'm little bit dissappointed. Anyway the room was clean and had a nice view.

The IBIS at Yuyan Garden has a great location for people to love to discover the beauty of this antique garden just a minute walk and where one can see the beautiful IFC tower. Meanwhile, some heavy smokers have to be avoided. The smoke smell in the rooms is to heavy! Smokers should not be allowed to smoke in no smoking room and if they do, they you be some heavy fines on those who smoke in a no smoking room. Having WiFi available will be a plusCelestin CHABI
"Rude staff at the reception"

I had booked the room through the accor website with the understanding that all IBIS hotels would accept A-Club vouchers. However, at the reception I was very rudely told that I have to either pay cash or by credit card or go away!. And that too after having been told to wait for about 15 minutes. When I asked to meet the manager, even he mumbled something about those vouchers not being valid at IBIS.The room was very noisy during most part of the day. Some construction work was happening in the building and was extremely disturbing. Even the rooms are not sound proof. I could hear voices from the adjacent rooms very clearly.Though the towels were changed, the bed was not made and linen not changed.I guess for the price I paid, the quality and service was pretty much in line.

a good hotel to stay,also it provides shuttles to/from airports,but i saw 2 prostitutes at night in the building.

Hotel in an excellent location for tourist sites.Our room was small but considering the very reasonable price this was not a problem.Hotel was clean and well maintained, staff were helpfull and polite.Breakfast buffet well stocked.Other plus points being free internet and an excellent terrace on the fifth floor with a viewacross the Shanghai skyline.Only minus point being we couldn't book tours from hotel reception.

Good location but hard for taxi driver to find the hotel.Good price, so no complain to lack of service.Good for short stay but not long term as room comfort level is not great.
