Rooms were in need of refurbishment and I didn't appreciate the prostitute cards outside my room door each night. Reasonably clean and very comfortable bed and pillows but tea bags and plastic cups were not replaced each day. The location is ideal and not too far to walk to the subway which is the fastest and best value travel in Beijing.
IBIS Beijing is the worst IBIS that i ever stayed: no heating, smelly room, laundry stocked behind the reception,mustiness... bad maintenance. IBIS China is not the same as IBIS France or IBIS Thailand. But IBIS Dongdaqiao is not the worst, the worst IBIS should be IBIS Jinshajiang, Shanghai(Kaixuan Rd). My taxi driver can not enter the street which is covered by the scaffolding, the hotel is nearby the tramway, which is very noisy. It is impossible to sleep in this hotel. I didn't enter into this IBIS. Very bad experience. NEVER NEVER NEVER IBIS in China.
Room was small and generally clean. But the corridors were full of cards advertising prostitutes, which were also stuffed under my door daily! Come on Accor! What are you doing allowing this to happen? Also, All Ibis hotels in China apparently dont participate in Accor's Le Club loyalty programme, although they don't mention this at the time of booking and prattle on about the special services you will receive! All nonsense. Was quite near a subway station but nothing else good nearby in terms of restaurants/shops/things to do.
