Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A great stay."

30th November 2012, AvaLouise6, York, United Kingdom

As a family we met up with another 8 people from London Cumbria New Zealand and ourselves from York. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and I would recommend this Leuven Mecure hotel for a visit to this fabulous town.Do not fly into Chireloi airport as it take 1.5 / 2.5 hours to reach Leuven.

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Nice"

31st July 2012, Guustretmans, Ghent, Belgium

Nice rooms and verry helpfull people .Location was easy to find .What i liked most was the silence in the room . In the morning at the breakfast was nobody to welcome us only somebody who cleans the table but no greeting .

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Perfect hotel in a perfect town"

3rd July 2012, Rugby, United Kingdom

The hotel has secure underground parking (€16) and is perfectly located in the centre of town, near the street full of restaurants catering for every taste and pocket. The rooms are clean, tidy, airy, well-appointed and exactly what is needed. The bathroom was clean, pleasant and well-stocked. The staff were very amiable, and the décor throughout very pleasing. Highly recommended.

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great location, friendly staff"

3rd June 2012

Centrally located, just up from the church, across from the square with the skewered fly on the needle and library.Surrounded by places to eat and drink...a few beers to sample!

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent location, nice hotel"

4th May 2012

Arrived for the Zythos beer festival and was surprised at the ease which with we got to the hotel. One train stop from the airport and a slow 15 minute walk from the station. The hotel is very close to the city center and surrounded by restaurants, brasseries and shops.Staff is friendly and service is good. Rooms ok, but a bit worn. I appreciated having access to water boiler and tea/coffee in the room. Breakfast is very nice. The only minus I can think of would be the hotel bar, where the beer is a bit pricey and I got the impression they rather see you go somewhere else.Hotel have no restaurant but a small automated shop for buying snacks and bottled water.Checkout was also quick.

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent Location - Hotel past its prime"

5th March 2012, Halle, Belgium

Staff is courteous, friendly and tries to help. The place itself however is run down, and up for a major overhaul. Mould in the bathrooms (silicone joints), paint flaking off etc.Sound insulation is a joke: noisy students chanting until 05:00am. Unacceptable for 148 € per night.

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 4.0 out of 5 stars "ideal placed ...but expensive"

5th September 2011, Julich, Germany

Ideal location: right in the center of Leuven and still quiet rooms. The hotel has its own parking garage which is 2 € cheaper as the ones beloging to the city. Standard Mercure service but expensive both the rooms and especially the breakfast.

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 4.0 out of 5 stars "centrally located hotel, spacious priveledge rooms"

2nd August 2011, London

Hotel is located within walking distance of all restaurants/cafes.I stayed in one of the priviledge rooms on the 5th floor. Very nicely decorated, huge bed and spacious room with sofa. I believe a bit f space is just what a bussiness traveller would like when away from home. Staff were very friendly and accomodating.I will be back soon again!

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Perfect location and value for money"

6th June 2011, kenilworth

no complaints whatsoever. 10 minutes walk from Leuven train station, 2 minutes walk from main restaurant street, another couple of minutes to old and grote markt. substantial breakfast, clean modern room, lovely bathroom. paid €94 per night for double room. very helpful staff on reception.

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Pleasant hotel with very friendly and helpfull service"

5th May 2011, Amsterdam

Cannot get any better location! Clean and quiet room, good breakfast. At last, we arrived with three people instead of the planned two. No problem to change to a larger room with extra bed for the same price! Would definitely come back to this place when around Leuven! ..And I will come back to Leuven!! Great town!

Hotel Mercure Leuven Center: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Average accor standard"

19th April 2011, brugge

Average hotel, has old floors and recently refurbished ones. The hotel looks less appealing then the ibis nearby. The square in front the hotel leave a bad impression on the sunday morning. (and can be noisy at night)Its closed to the nightlive so the 'residues' can be found there in the early morning hours.Bathrooms have received a lick of paint but the shower in the old bathtub is not the most convenient version.Newspapers you need to ask, coffee/thee you need to ask, drinks in the room : you need to ask.So basically service yes, but you need to ask.TV has a poor signal. Wifi is still payable.Positive : Breakfast-staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean and location is close to Vlerick.
