Staffs are friendly and helpful. Lobby is warm-welcome and clean. Room is tidy with nice interior. Bathroom is clean with ample space. Breakfast is nice both the restaurant and food quality. Location is strategically in the middle of the city and close to Padang beach. Highly recommended hotel.

We choose this hotel because it was still new and the location was good, but we later found out that the service was terrible. It seems that there was some construction work going on at night because we could hear banging in our room. We though that they're going to stop at around sleeping time (10 pm), but they keep on banging. We finally called the front desk at 12:30 am to complain about the banging and they promise us to follow up on it but it didn't stop. It finally stop banging at 04:30 am. Another bad experience that we had was that the carpet on the hall way from the elevator to our room smells very bad. it was those soggy or bad odor smells. We've complaint to the the bellboy who happened to pass by our floor, and what he did was spray air freshener the area and did nothing to the carpet. The smell was still there through out our stay. This was the worst hotel through out my experience staying in the Accor Hotel Group all this time.

I stayed 2 night for business purpose. On the positive side, hotel is new and close to the city. The things needs to be considered is the hotel surrounded by old and ghetto style housing in contrast to the hotel. Also, room was dusty, A/C noise was loud, bathroom was in terrible conditions, glasses for drinking was dirty, the long corridor to my room smelled like human excrement. Note also for those who are allergic to MSG or flavor enhancer this place uses a generous amount on their soups and some of their dishes. I just hope that there will be positive changes in this hotel since this is supposedly still a new hotel building.

This is one valuable source of inspiration to receive feedback from our guests respect. Herewith, please allow us apologize for your experience during stay at the Hotel Mercure Padang was less as expected. Especially regarding our facilities were not good as it sounds rather noisy air conditioning, bathroom was not in good condition, drinking glasses was not clean and corridor smell was not good. This is a serious concern for us so it does not reoccur in the future. For AC, we are working to provide a silencer, and then to the bathroom, this time we are doing repairs and extra cleaning. Regarding the corridor, after we checked, the bad smell comes from the smell of a gas leak, not the smell of human excrement. And the last of the sense amplifier, we will pay attention to their use in the future. Once again I thank you for this input, and we will share these comments with our team so that it can be a motivation for all staff so that it does not reoccur. Actually, I really enjoyed my stay at Mercure Padang hotel. The breakfast is great, got a nice variety of food there, the room is really clean and quite big for my standards. The downside is the location, which is a bit far from the town centre.

One night at Mercure was more than enough for me. I arrived at the hotel early and was told check in was not until 2pm which is fair enough. When 2pm came around I was told the room was not ready and I would have to wait until 3pm. Even though I requested non smoking room the room absolutely stunk of smoke and was rather dirty. There was water flowing from the next room under the wall and into my shower when the next doors shower was being used - very unhygienic. Definitely never going back. The only positive thing I could add is that the food in the restaurant was very good for Padang standards

I stay in this hotel almost every week for business. The staffs are very nice the receptionists especially miss Gina, miss Elvi, n miss Deby, very helpful and friendly. The room is nice, I like the one with pool view. The foods are delicious my fav is sop buntut. If I may suggest why dont you put bath tub in the bathroom, it wud be very nice to have a hot bath in the tub after long hard day. Overall its a nice hotel. Worth the money.

Based on study that the average consumption of water usage when using the bath tub is 200 liters per person, but average using water by shower for bathing only 40 liters per person, so we invite all our guests to participate in water saving efforts and conserve our environment by using shower for bathing. Nevertheless at Mercure Padang in certain room type such as Business suite and Executive Suites it has bath up inside. the room is very nice, the design is very good, also the bed is comfort. Just no bell in the door, so somebody has to knock the door. Overall is very good. But the location is faraway from shopping center.
