1 minute to metro station, 5 minutes to railway station, good location. The room is quite clean, and service is also good. The price is reasonable. It's useful for people who travel by train. And you can also take shuttle bus direct to international airport, the bus station is within 5 minutes.

Love the locations with Shanghai subway just around the corner, lots of eateries around with convenience store and shopping mall as well. Value for money with the rooms that you get. Breakfast comes with a good selection as well. One of the best from Mercure group.

great location, good equipment, and room, sleep well, but bad service, incl front desk, F&B, housekeeping also, very bad service, so if I need to Shanghai, I will choose another hotel.i just can say that the hotel is five stars, but the service is one star or poor. that is poor than the hostel at Suzhou.

Grand Mercure Shanghai Zhongya: 1.0 out of 5 stars "Disappointment"

I booked two rooms at the Executive Floor and had requested them to be at the same floor and if possible next to each other. The reservation was made more than 1 month ago. I don't think this is a very difficult request to fullfill. But to my disappointment when we checked in, we were told that the hotel was full and we were put on difference floors. What happened if my children were young and need someone to take care?The worst thing was the attitude of the staff and the manager that checked us in. They did not try and did not seem to care at all. Its like take it or leave it kind of attitude!I hope the Management read this and do something about it.I've stayed at the Accor Group of Hotels many times and this was the first very BAD experience that I encountered.

Everything was up to my expectations as a freq traveller (I stay in hotel at least 100 days in a year), except...1. The room was far too warm, but I guess this happens in most of the hotel rooms in China in winter seasons.2. The housekeeping ladies was talking too loudly in the morning, subsequently woke me up.No doubt I will return and stay again. Cheers
