Mercure Clear Mountain Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Mountain break"

6th August 2013

This resort is fabulous, it is so peaceful up in the mountains with views to die for. Perfect getaway with sufficient onsite facilities to satisfy a short stay and 'forget the rest of the world' type break. Staff were pleasant, restaurant and meals were amazing and prices were reasonable. Would recommend taking some mozzie spray/cream if you want to sit out on the deck at dusk with your holiday cocktail watching the sunset, particularly during summer months. I will definitely stay again.

Mercure Clear Mountain Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Time Out at Clear Mountain Lodge"

15th July 2013, mckindley1, Brisbane, Australia

It's hard to believe this hotel is so close to the city. No traffic noise, just the sound of birds. Had a lovely relaxing time and was really sorry to head home especially as the sun had come out. The food was terrific and I highly recommend the dessert. Had great personalised service which really made you feel that your comfort/stay mattered rather than just another guest. The only thing I struggled with was the down pillows ( a bit soft for me) but I would still love to go back for a longer stay.

Mercure Clear Mountain Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Beautiful retreat"

11th July 2013, Amanda D, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

We went for a night away, childless! Beautiful relaxing experience. There is nothing to do but relax and enjoy the view, so not somewhere I'd recommend if you are looking for activity. Beautiful spa if you are interested. The restaurant, Mandy's, was just superb. Service very friendly and genuine. Drinks on the balcony were superb with the view and environment.

Mercure Clear Mountain Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Birthday Extravaganza"

4th July 2013, Brisbane, Australia

From the time we arrived till the time we checked out, we found the staff in all areas to be both professional and friendly. It is hard to believe that Clear Mountain Lodge is so close to the city, but when you are there, it so peaceful. The views from the rooms and the restaurant are absolutely fantastic. We loved having dinner in the restaurant looking out over a sea of lights. As most of the vegetables and herbs are grown on the premises, the food is very fresh, and the menu exciting. Top marks for presentation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will certainly stay again. A great way to spend a birthday.

Mercure Clear Mountain Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Second visit"

27th June 2013, elle51_62, ACT

Terrific stay. It was wonderful to come back after rushing 6 people to a 10am wedding in Brisbane and coming back late to find room serviced. I found this so welcoming. Staff were great allowing a late departure for some of us.

Mercure Clear Mountain Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "When can I arrange to come back."

26th June 2013, dido1952, Ipswich, Australia

This hotel is top rate. The staff were friendly and helpful, they seemed to enjoy working in their surroundings. We arrived in the dark and it was raining so had no idea what we would wake up to - the morning brought sparkling weather and a view that we didn't expect. It was difficult to step away from the balcony.Dinner was an event, we were with friends and had a wonderful night. The food was plated with artistic restraint and delicious. Nothing was fussy - the chef let the food speak for itself, no need for huge servings or lots of garnish. The four of us chose different dishes and shared tastings, everything was a delight. And then of course there was the desert - the rocky road twist w white chocolate snow, dark chocolate mousse, rhubarb jelly, soft rose water marshmallow and honeycomb crumble service on a wooden board was such fun and so yummy.Breakfast was generous, lots of choices and a great coffee and of course, the views out over the Glasshouse Mountains and to the Bay.My only regret is that I didn't have time to arrange a massage - next time. My only concern was the number of steps to get to our rooms, my friend has a medical condition and the walk was a bit difficult for her. I would advise potential guests to discuss this when making a booking, if stairs are a problem. So, except for that issue, this is a hotel that I would recommend to anybody wanting a wonderful time out from everyday life. Truly an experience.
