It isn't enjoyable because for the first time in my life and on three continents (North America, South America, and Africa) I have to pay not in the checkout but in CHECKIN!

Ibis is great, has a good location and good service. The breakfast is very good and has great selection. The customer service at the front desk was good because Andres helped me, he’s very helpful but it can improve overall. The rooms need to be painted and the hotel could be cleaner. But overall I really like this place

Good location but rather messy

I stayed at the IBIS Botafogo for almost a month on a business trip. The room was okay, but it was never fully cleaned during the entire stay. In addition, there was a problem with the sink which could not be emptied, despite being requested twice at reception. This highlights a serious communication problem: 1 in 10 people could speak English. How can this be in a city as touristy as Rio?
