The room was nice, but not cleaned thoroughly. We ran into spider webs and killed at least a dozen of spiders when we arrived. There were also dead bugs underneath the basin in the bathroom. Damaged equipments including the vacuum cleaner and saucepan with damaged handle, and the doors to the balcony cannot be locked properly.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. As you can see from the other reviews we have an excellent reputation here at the hotel and it is disappointing that your expectations were not met in this instance. I would appreciate discussing this matter further with you so we can properly address the issues you encountered. If you could please contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org it would be much appreciated. Kind Regards, Ian Muller Hotel Manager
Fabulous apartment for couples or a family. Two bedrooms also had 2 full bathrooms with the option of 2 king beds or 1 king and 2 singles. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge room. Loved the gas fireplace and mini kitchen. Would be good to have a toaster included in the kitchen. The unit had a lockup garage and two balconies with table and chairs, as well as lounge chairs.
We had never been to the Hunter before so were relying on other Trip Advisor reviews and our Accor membership to guide us. The Grand Mercure was excellent. Very spacious one bedroom apartment with a courtyard that looked over the field where kangaroos gathered each afternoon. It was very clean and well appointed. Centrally located and on the pickup line for all the wine tasting tours. I would go back tomorrow!
We travelled with my 87yo mother to meet up with my brother who lives and works in the Hunter. This followed visits to Melbourne and Cairns to visit sisters in previous years. The Vintage was a good place to stay. They provided a first floor appt with disabled bathroom as my mum has a mobility problem. We were able to visit wineries, restaurants and shops to see what the reign has to offer. We were made welcome everywhere.
