Booked online via the Accor website. Received immediate confirmation of reservation….great.We booked a 2 bedroom apartment with kitchenette.Upon arrival of our check in day, the booking was not available. Receptionist and Duty manager explained that “Apparently the girl who does the reservations didn’t do it for the correct dates”. Duty manager offered to call other Accor properties to find us accommodation for the first night, without success. Well I say without success, there were rooms available but not within our budget and when I asked if they would match the price I was originally paying in our initial booking I was told a simple no. So after lugging in our luggage, our sleeping 2 year old, after 9 hours since we initially left our home we found RYDGES who helped us out for the night before returning to the All Seasons the next day. (We should have just stayed with RYDGES)On check-in this time, we were given an ‘upgraded’ room. Great we thought and after lugging yet again our luggage and 2 year old up to the room, we discovered that our ‘upgrade’ was actually a single room, with a cot for the 2 year old. No roller way available!So when we said no, we would like the 2 bedroom apartment we booked we had to wait for the room to be cleaned and we seemed to be somewhat of a hindrance for the hotel and staff.I must say the room, was ok. Clean 2 rooms, kitchenette and comfy beds. Apart for the standard being far from Accor standards which we are used to. The décor was dreadful, brown, dark and old. For a tropical destination it was definitely not what we were expecting, but we were at the peril of this hotel (should be more like, motel) due to high occupancy during the peak holiday season and our budget. Al I can say was we were lucky that we were out and about all day every day and rarely spent any time in the room. One thing I must stress is that our ‘balcony’ which us on the side of the busy road (ground floor), was HORRIFFIC. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, we could not step outside for the amount of bird excrement covering every surface. It was so bad that we didn’t even open the door for ‘fresh air’ as the smell and hygienic reasons. We even had to resort to putting the bed against the door to stop our 2 year old venturing out. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. We did inform the hotel, but nothing was done during our stay and I assume nothing once we left.All I can say is that this hotel is definitely not to the standard of other Accor properties which we have stayed in all over Australia and 8 other counties we have stayed with Accor. Very disappointing hotel.Free Wi-Fi was great, free continental breakfast was ok for being free, definitely wouldn’t pay for it especially the ‘hot’ option, maybe I’m just picky but a buffet breakfast should have a selection and not look like is been reheated from yesterday’s left overs.
