"Good value for the location"
27th April 2012, PeteSYorks, Sheffield, United Kingdom
I've stayed here on a couple of occasions when travelling down to London to meet friends. Typical chain hotel of the sort I might use for work. Rooms are functional ,a little small. Good for a week-end visit., but might seem a little cramped if you are staying longer and have a lot of luggage. The hotel is close to south bank atractions such as the Globe. The nearest Tube station is about 10 minutes walk, through a tourist area full of pubs and restaurants.I booked using the Accor web-site and got a reasonable price including breakfast. the hotels posts an outrageous rack-rate on its front-desk of £295 per night. I paid a 3rd of that. I doubt anyone ever pays anywhere near that.
"would come again"
20th April 2012, annamoussi, Nicosia, Cyprus
Great hotel, fantastic location, clean rooms, nice breakfast. Good service appart from the management in the morning with having space to eat brakfast (far too many guests for not enough tables!!!!), so if you come at a busy time it happened that we waited 20 min to get a table.

"Last stay it was very noisy"
19th April 2012, rambo37, chelsea,vic
We were given a room in the new section. First night we were woken up at 0600 hours by the builders. Then every morning about the same time or just a bit later we were woken up very early by workmen or trucks. The new rooms have no were to store your luggage. The old room had space under your bed. The room was too hot and we left the windows open to get some cool air in. No one asked us on discharge if we had an enjoyable stay We stayed there 4 times.

"Third time at this hotel"
8th March 2012, Portrush, United Kingdom
This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel in the past year. It is a great location for visiting London. It is not far from Borough market, Tate Mod, South Bank etc and the London Bridge tube stop is very close by. When the Blackfriars station re-opens it will be even better. For the money the hotel has everything you could want, and my husband and I find it very comfortable, with a reasonable size of room and good shower facilities. I have no doubt we will return - although I find it difficult to understand how the Accor loyalty card works as there seem to be no special deals, offers, reductions etc as you find with other hotel chain loyalty cards. Can Accor enlighten me??

"Good cost x benefit"
3rd March 2012, ftseixas, Brasília/Brazil
Good location, just 5 minutes to London Bridge Station, close to good restaurants. Free wi-fi, very good breakfast, included in the reasonable price for London. Rooms are not big, but beds are comfortable.
"Great hotel in an excellent location close to the South Bank"
14th February 2012, LYNDA C, Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom
Could not fault our stay. Very clean, lovely room. Very good service and the excellent continental breakfast was included in the price. We booked some weeks in advance and got a fantastic reduction - 2/3 off the room rate.Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre, National Theatre, South Bank and Hayward Gallery and river trips are all close at hand. Take a boat to The Tower of London!

"Regular guest Review"
8th February 2012, Dublin, Ireland
Overpriced with minimal spartan facilities and service. I've stayed many times and am never recognised when I return ............. treated as if I've never been there before. I only use it because of location.
"Very Good!"
7th February 2012, Vienna
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Check-in was perfect, the rooms spacious for London standards, clean and equipped with everything one needs. Bathroom small but functional and also very clean. Breakfast (continental style) was good and the service friendly. Check-out again perfect and the staff always helpful. Will definitely come back again.
"Excellent hotel"
1st February 2012, Holstebro, Denmark
I stayed at the Southwark Rose Hotel for two nights with my family and was very satisfied with the whole experience from check-in to check-out. The service was fantastic and I felt that the staff did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible - they even made us sandwiches to go since we had to check-out at 4am sunday to reach our flight home to Denmark. So over-all an excellent and recommendable stay!

"Second visit"
28th January 2012, Portrush, United Kingdom
Second time I have stayed here - was here in the summer with my husband and liked the hotel and its location so chose it again for an overnight on my own. I was very happy with the room which was comfortable and a good size for central London at this price. Tube close by especially when using the back door. An extension to provide bar and restaurant area had been completed on the ground floor since my last visit. I used it only for breakfast but the bar area looked quite comfortable. Only negative comment I would make is that the choice for breakfast was not as good as when I last visited eg no muesli, but it was still adequate.
"Good location for you London base"
26th January 2012, Newport, United Kingdom
The hotel is situated in a good position in london very near to London bridge tube and not that far from Southwark either. Around the hotel there are various bars and restaurants but being so close to the tube and rail network you dont need to be worried about not being dead centre of London. The hotel isnt huge so dont expect the rooms to be either, comfortable clean and weel equiped with all that you will need for your short stay. The beds were very comfortable although there weren't and additional pillolws or blankets provided in the room.At the time of my stay the weather was unpredicable and so was the air conditioning, it didnt seem to make a difference to the temperature of the room where ever you set it.Againg at the time of my stay the hotel seem to be undergoing some repairs or updating of some sort, the top floor wasnt being used and on arrival at 12:30 there was a lot of building noise and shouting work men coming from very close by, unfortunally we weren't told about this work or noise, but after a walk the work had stopped on my returned...However on the following Sunday morning at 9:30am the work and noise...hammer drills! started again...Not Happy. The continental breakfast was excellent quality, not a huge variety but very tasty and the upgrade to a full english or omlette was only £5 and that also looked excellent quality. The staff were all foreign as usual, and i found them difficult to understand especially at check in trying to rember all the times and directions. No gym or sauna at this hotel but you are able to use the Novatel next door.
"Value for money"
19th January 2012, Nibicat, Holland
I loved the bed, the bedroom was very quiet, good shower. Breakfast is quite good, except when you have your breakfast on a Sunday morning around 9 am (too busy in the brf area).London Bridge Underground Station is about a 8 minute walk away. You can even walk into the city. London City Airport is 30 minutes door to door.
"good location"
16th January 2012, Moscow, Russia
This hotel has very good location. Many famous sights are available in walking distance. At least this hotel will be comfortable for people who like walking.Good service and nice room. Quite tolerable breakfast. Good combination of the price and quality fof London.
