Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A classy hotel"

16th February 2013, donaldbovill, Alicante, Spain

We recieved a special offer to stay at this hotel and were more than satisfied. We very very rarely stay at the more out of our league price range but this offer was too good to refuse. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant lady who told us we'd been upgraded to a superior room. all i can say is when we walked in it certainly had a wow factor, very luxurious.it was an easy walk from the cuidad olimpia metro station and right by the olympic port.We decided to splash out on lunch and chose the power lunch option. for 24 euro.3 stunning courses and a glass of water. wine has to be paid for as an extra but was'nt extortionate. would certainly stay again if more offers were repeated.

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Comfortable stay"

25th January 2013, henryhoundchichester, chichester

Very nice receptionist. Made us feel very welcome. Rooms lovely. Quiet, and the most comfortable bed. About a 20 min walk to Las Ramblas. Or there is a metro station 5 mins walk away and a bus stop outside the hotel. Lots of places to eat nearby, close to the beach.

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Avoid this hotel."

25th December 2012, dutchtraveller513, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

If you're looking for a 5 star hotel in barcelona, avoid this hotel!!! For the 180 euro per night I've paid in this hotel for a weekend night there are much better options available in this city. Check in would be possible from 14.00, however our room was not available untill 14.30 without apologies. i've booked a late check out on sunday, however i was called at 13.00 in my room that normal check out is at 12.00 and that they wanted to know the time i would check out. I you take a shower in this hotel the toilet wil be soaked with water, without the possibility to avoid it. At the breakfast the only option for eggs are scrambled eggs, no boiled eggs, ommelet or pancakes are available. while the charge is 25 euro per person.the location of this hotel is near the beach, but if you like to visit the city the location is horrible. You need a taxi to get to the hotel.like said earlier, for 180 euro per night during the weekend, there are many many better options available in this city.

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 1.0 out of 5 stars "A room that smells of sewer..."

10th December 2012, acor61

Nice view but with a foul smell. My room overlooked the see, was spacious and comfortable with a tiny inconvenience: the smell of sewer coming from the bathroom. Another annoyance was the impossibility of properly connecting to wifi, with the staff finally providing with a cable for hard wiring to the network plug on the wall. Finally we had to pay 3€ for a bowl of peanuts while paying 10€ for a couple of glasses of mediocre wine. Overall a big disappointment for a Pullman hotel, a brand which is usually providing better quality, service and price.I have to go back to Barcelone this year and will probably switch to another hotel brand.

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent location"

14th August 2012, 850Swede, Stockholm, Sweden

Modern and feels new & fresh! Very good service level & ambience. Did not try the reastaurants or conference/meeting rooms etc. Did not even try the gym but they have a great pool area. We were lucky having a room with sea view and the location being close to the sea and walking distance to things worth seeing was great

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great hotel near the beach!"

18th July 2012

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel -- it was almost too nice as it was hard to leave it in order to visit Barcelona! The only issue I had was the 'sleep quality' as the hotel is located near night clubs so I woke up to the noise of the people leaving these clubs in the early morning hours. Otherwise the hotel location is perfect (very close to a nice beach) and the cleanliness and service was definitely 5 star quality!

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice but not quite perfect"

17th July 2012, Yorkie1979, London, United Kingdom

The Pullman is fabulously situated by the beach in Barcelona, it is perfect if you want to spend your time relaxing in Barcelona. If you want to go to Las Ramblas (The main tourist area), it is a 20-25 mins walk or 5-10 mins in a taxi (around €8.00).The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are clean, the roof top terrace is fantastic, it has a lovely pool (smallish) but nice, the pool downstairs has a little less character and a bit shadier. They had parking for cars and bikes which I thought was fantastic, you could hire a bike at the hotel for €25.00 per day but we hired one by the beach instead for a much cheaper rate. The cleaning staff were very nice and pleasant, the room was well equipped with a personal iron and board, hairdryer, slippers, robe, nice toiletries, good English TV channels including BBC1, BBC2, Channel 4, Film4, good for UK folks I guess! The reception staff were okay but nothing to phone home about, we called up for a WIFI code, the first person kept me holding for 5 mins so I hung up and the second said that she would send some codes upstairs to my room but I never got anything. Now the bad bits…..our room tends to heat up quite a bit during the day so when we return back into the room, it’s quite warm, we mentioned this to reception and they sent an engineer straight away however, the coolest the aircon gets is 19 degrees, which is not that cool especially in a hot city! The WIFI is absolutely awful, the system was very old fashioned, we had to get bits of A4 paper with login details from reception, because we had four devices, we had to get four separate pieces of paper which I find absolutely ridiculous. For such a highly rated hotel chain hotel, you would think they would have moved into the 21st century and just have a generic WIFI code for all, the connection is also very intermittent and patchy, it keeps losing the signal and then I would have to login again which was super annoying. For some reason, everytime we took a shower, the water leaked onto the toilet floor creating a puddle of water, not sure whether there was a leak somewhere in the shower or it was the sliding door that created the puddle, we didn’t complain about this as it’s not a huge deal but nevertheless it’s worth mentioning, it does dry up overnight.Other than that, the hotel was nice, definitely not a five star though.

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel"

Friendly staff. Very good rooms and balcony. Breakfast gets a little boring after 4 days. Good location near harbour.

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 5.0 out of 5 stars "5th time in Barcelona and would DEFINITELY stay here again!"

10th May 2012, Dktbird, Zurich, Switzerland

I traveled with my husband, 9 month old baby and my parents and we had two nights in the Pullman after a cruise. I travel a lot for work so have a lot of expectations for the little things and the Pullman delivered. First of all the staff was wonderful - with a baby we have many demands and they were helpful with everything we required. Even the baby cot was a nice touch as it was a real bed with proper linen for a baby that is not always provided. The bathroom had all necessary amenities and was perfectly equipped for female needs. There was unlimited free water, free internet and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices and we also had dinner and drinks in the lounge one evening and that was pretty good value for money. The two pools looked nice - too cold to get in (eventhough one is heated) but we enjoyed the roof terrace which has a great ocean view. The location was perfect for us as we have been to Barcelona many times and preferred being by the beach where you can do some lovely walks with a stroller. Getting into mid-town however was not a problem - many options with the local busses or walking 20 minutes. We will definitely stay here again whether for business or pleasure.

Pullman Barcelona Skipper: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Pullman is Perfect!"

29th April 2012, Worldfoodies, Sydney, Australia

This is the second time I have stayed at The Pullman In Barcelona and I was not disappointed I chose it again. The service is exceptional, has a terrific buffet breakfast and bar. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, serene and luxurious room. (we stayed on the right hand sied of the hotel facing the water) It is right on the beach so you can stroll into town or to the restaurants, casino and bars nearby. The view from the rooftop pool area is spectacular and its a great area to relax and enjoy the sun. I would not hesitate to stay here is you want to enjoy all the spoils Barcelona has to offer.
