ibis Belfast City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "a good place to explore the city"

26th April 2012, ray0168, Birmingham, United Kingdom

it is very central to all belfast has to offer , and is worth the money i was suprised that they allowed food to be delivered in when there own food was good! that apart it is a good hotel which i will use again....if you want a central location and good value then book online and get the bus from the airport!

ibis Belfast City Centre: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Poor management"

23rd April 2012, JoiLondon, London

Stayed for two nights and found the place poorly managed. Bar & breakfast area dirty and prostitutes greeting their clients in the lobby before conducting their business in the hotel.

ibis Belfast City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Brilliant Location - Brilliant Staff"

19th April 2012, UK

Yet again another fabulous stay in the Ibis City Centre (Belfast). This hotel is in a brilliant location just minutes wake from the main city centre shops, bus station and Grand Opera House! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

ibis Belfast City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "IBIS BELFAST CASTLE STREET"

19th April 2012, roryocavan, Cavan, Ireland

The location of this hotel is really good, very central. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff also very friendly and courteous. Our only fault was with the breakfast. It was very basic with only 4 items of hot food, bacon sausage beans and scrambelled egg that tasted like it was made from powdered eggs. You could in fact get a better breakfast in any of the surrounding cafes. and for half the price. So while I would reccommend the hotel I would defintely not reccomend eating breakfast there.

ibis Belfast City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good budget hotel in edge of c ity centre locaction"

19th March 2012, Bristol, United Kingdom

The hotel is well located on the edge of the city centre at the end of one of the secondary shopping streets. City Hall is a 5 minute walk away as is the main shopping area. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I did not try the hotel catering as there were loads of other options a short walk away. My only disappointment was the room only had a shower not a bath but other than that the room was clean and had all the facilities you would expect of a good quality budget hotel

ibis Belfast City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good location and friendly staff"

6th March 2012, Cambridge, United Kingdom

Other than a small stain on a pillow (not the case), room and bathroom well cleaned. No problems with noise. Great location - close to Europa bus station (for airport), and very near the city centre / bars / restaurants. Can't comment on the food, as we didn't eat there - but we did have a good chuckle at the menu, and wondered why "Curry's" got an apostrophe, leaving "Starters" and "Deserts" etc feeling quite left out.Checked out at noon, but were able to leave belongings in a secure locked cupboard for collection later on. Staff very friendly and helpful, would recommend overall.

ibis Belfast City Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Nice location but large corporate inflexibility"

13th February 2012, Auckland Central, New Zealand

Nice hotel and handy to the central city but the advert I booked from within a booking website advertised the rooms as coming with free Wifi. When I went to organise it they stated it was no longer free. They showed no interest in the fact that my choice in Hotels everywhere I was staying in this business trip was driven by ease of having wifi available when needed. I would not stay with them again as down the road I found a Hotel with free Wifi and similar rates.

Management responseDear Accorhotel user, Thank you for your review for Ibis Belfast City Centre. I am glad to hear that you liked the location and the hotel but am dismayed that you feel you would not return in relation to the WiFi charges. I would be very interested to speak with you in relation to the website that advertises our rooms as having free WiFi included. If you could contact me on h7232-gm@accor.com or 02890-238888 and i would be more than happy to discuss this further with you.Kind Regards, Robert Dalton

ibis Belfast City Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER"

8th September 2011, Melbourne, Australia

This is the only hotel I have come across with an unsafe safe. No safes in rooms, so to use the hotel safe you have to sign a document disclaiming staff as liable should things go missing. Reception staff were quite unhelpful and provided misinformation re public transport to the ferry. During our stay, the building was evacuated (middle of night) due to the activation of a fire alarm. Guests had no idea where to go and just stood around outside the hotel – this could have had dire consequences. Communication from hotel staff at this time was just about non-existent.

ibis Belfast City Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel, standard ibis"

4th September 2011, Bern

Stayed at the Ibis Belfast with friends. Nice hotel, standard ibis, very comfortable. Location is not bad, a few minutes away from the city center (gets a bit creepy in the night though, were happy to get a taxi to the door). Wifi is not free (a bit regrettable, in these days), but available in all rooms.

ibis Belfast City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Belfast City Centre May 11"

31st May 2011, DavidTeesValley, Tees Valley

City centre hotel in a good location within walking access of shops, bars, restaurants. The only downside on this visit was the incessant beeping of the smoke control alarm box along the corridor during the night

ibis Belfast City Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good value for money, great service, but don't expect 5* amenities"

3rd May 2011, Loughborough, Leics.

Checkin and checkout were quick and straightforward, and the reception staff were pleasant and always smiling, even at 5.30am!Restaurant staff seemed a bit hassled, as it seemed just 1 person was in charge of the tables and they could barely cope when the tables were full.Room was decent and quiet (upper floor), nothing fancy, but the bathroom smelled so we had to keep the door shut. Also what is it with bathroom doors with no locks, that can be a bit embarrassing if one was travelling on business.Restaurant feels like you're eating in the middle of reception/lobby, not very comfortable, space must be at a premium in both Ibis hotels I've tried.Location is great, right in the city centre (lower floors might be noisy in weekends), taxi ranks are close by, but a pain to get to by car, as you cannot drop off passengers at the door, nor can you park on the street outside, so if you are carrying a lot of luggage, make sure it's got wheels!

ibis Belfast City Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "ibis castle st belfast"

21st April 2011, Trudyomagh, Omagh

excellent price. If you park in City Car Park beside Hotel they charge £5 for overnight stay. I extended stay in carpark until 3pm as I shopped and forgot to take car out ! They were very helpful and didnot charge extra.

ibis Belfast City Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Personal Service"

15th February 2011, London

Request for a specific room met speedily - and without any fuss: and this was at an early (noon) check-in - again no fuss. The room was very spacious - much bigger than the norm at an Ibis hotel. All reception staff very helpful - and friendly - thoughout my stay, always addressing me by name. Restaurant / bar area is not great - I was not inclined to use it, as at other Ibis hotels. Location is not great as some of the nearby streets might be described as "run down". Overall, the personal service made for a very pleasant stay.
