I booked this hotel through my le club accor membership and it proved to be one of the best hotels and in the best locations in town. It was a I minute walk to the cathedral, close to shops, restaurants and transport could not have asked for anything better, even the staff were really helpful and friendly.
We were made welcome as soon as we arrived and all through our stay, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly in the reception or the bar. The bar is a nice relaxing place to unwind with a view of the Cathedral. We had quite a large quiet room, somewhere at the back of the hotel which was very clean and well looked after. Great large bed with superb bedding for a good nights sleep. I must admit I would have liked a Cathedral view. The bathroom was rather small and it was a tight squeeze to get into the bath or shower. They did provide hard soap but unfortunately no body lotion. The hairdryer was a bit of an antique and rather heavy to use. However it was all clean and well kept. Toilet was separate. The breakfasts were excellent, couldn't fault at all. The hotel is well place for visiting the Cathedral, shopping or walking down to the River Somme in the evenings for good restaurants esp Le Quai. Ideally placed for driving to visitor attractions which aren't too far away. It doesn't have its own car park but a secure car park is very close and not too expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend. As a Silver Accor member I was hoping for an upgrade but this didn't happen, perhaps next time. Thank you for making us welcome.
Great location and convenient for the lively town and of course the magnificent gothic cathedral. Room was large (paid extra for this) with a balcony and a stunning full on view of the cathedral. The room itself was quite bland but acceptable. Very friendly and helpful front office staff. Parking is about a 3 minute walk.
We stayed here as we had never been to Amiens and we were very happy with our stay. Firstly, I believe that in the large range of different quality of Mercure that exist, this one is pretty good. Nice room (thanks for the upgrade), nice garden at the back where you can have a drink and most of all, fabulous location. I don't think you could get any better in town. You are right in the heart of the town centre and about 100 meters from the Cathedral. Price was also excellent. Parking is on the street or in a public car park about 3 minutes away (very cheap for londoners). Please note that the coffee machine in the room is not nespresso but some other brand... Strange as they have nespresso at the bar... Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in town. Thank you very much.
Fabulous city - hotel well located to all attractions. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was superb size but air con not great. Restaurant did special dinner menu for guests which was great value. Breakfast was ok - hot food was Luke warm. However location made up for any minor issues.
Terrific location 100 metres from Amiens cathedral (which could be seen leaning out the window). Room was large, modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A very interesting town and a great base for exploring the Somme battlefields.
Dear Guests, I am so please, you enjoyed the Mercure Amiens and the surroundings. We welcome a lot of Australias people, and itis always a pleasure to help you to have a good stay, specially when you come from so far. With my best regards, Anne D
Chose the hotel for location close to centre of town to visit Christmas Market. Rooms were large and comfortable. Modern and clean. Helpful reception staff. Good breakfast buffet. Only issue was bath/shower was hard to get out of - no handle and bath sides quite high and bath slippery. Car parking in public car park close by.
