Mercure Ostrava Center Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "In the middle of town"

7th March 2013, bncmal, Frankfurt, Germany

But along a main road, so when the trolley buses move around, you feel a small tremor. WIFI functioned without complains. I didn't try the fitness area. Breakfast was very good & one can personally request for eggs cooked to one's liking (omelette, scrambled...)

Mercure Ostrava Center Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good for weekendtrips"

21st December 2012, boggifinn, Bergen, Norway

Very nice hotel, and very helpful staff. Good location. Close to the main partystreet. The bar and restaurant was nice. A bit quiet in the weekend. Good taxiservice. The rooms were big, and with all you need. Bathroom clean and practical.

Mercure Ostrava Center Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel in Ostrava"

7th August 2012, InterbisBilbao, Bilbao

Good hotel, good location-but expensive for what it is. All Czech hotels are expensive compared to other countries. Why? No idea, but value for money is NOT what this hotel gives. It is a good hotel with good staff & service but overpriced by 50%.

Mercure Ostrava Center Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Stay during music festival"

18th July 2012, PeterRusz, Prague, Czech Republic

We have stayed in Mercure in Ostrava for 3 nights during the music festival and did really enjoy it. I could actually compare it to when I visited hotel next day it was open and the level of service has increased tremendously. Location of hotel is well in the city centre, just 5 minutes by walk from Stodolni to have either good lunch or party on Friday night; breakfasts and service is up to the presented level.I would however welcome faster internet and a bit more in the wellness area though, eg. jacuzzi or anything else in addition to the sauna and fitness space. Also for people with soft sleep the issue could be massive bells ringing from the church next to the hotel - I sleep like dead, so that was not an issue.Overall, the stay was a pleasure, we did really enjoy it and if anyone is visiting Ostrava, then Mercure is definitely the place to go for. I'll do the same next time I'm around.
