"Usual All Seasons Quality"

The All Seasons in Saint Dizier is very central and almost nondescript - you hardly see the hotel until you're upon it. It is a newer member of the All Season's Brand and all the usual good stuff - internet in rooms (free), great beds and inclusive well provisioned breakfast are in evidence. The only small fly in the ointment was that the welcome was not up to the usual Accor standard. We were arriving on bicycle and despite having booked, got a fairly frosty reception at 7.30pm when we arrived. We asked about somewhere to put our bicycles and we told round the back. This was not terribly secure and most hotels in France, however small are pretty good with cyclists finding somewhere secure to put a bicycle and this is invariably free. When pressed we were told that we'd have to pay the parking fee to use their car park. We agreed but in the event the next morning we weren't charged. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there's a great little place called Pierre Gourmand five minutes walk away. Very unassuming, looks like a cafe but actually very decent food and great value.

The family rooms was spacious for 4 people and the breakfast was very good - overall it was very good value.

Clean and friendly inside. Some loose fitting drain covers in the parking area. The outside at the rear in general needs tidying up. Lack of restaurant may put off families with small children...................................................................
