We enjoyed a one night stay in this ideally situated Hotel next to the Castle. The room was a good size clean and comfotable. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The evening meal in the hotel restaurant was very good as regards quality, quantity and value. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of foods and our only complaint was that the hot food- bacon, scambled eggs and susages - was not hot enough. We would definately stay there again if visiting Dieppe.

Dieppe is on the up as a resort. The Mercure, underneath the chateau, is well sited, and if you (extra) for a sea view, the outlook is fine. But this makes for an expensive stay, with breakfast priced at 16 Euros and a reasonable room at well over £110 sterling. Decor is 'modern' but anonymous.

Situation of the hotel is perfect if you want to access both beach and town centre. Exterior of building is drab 70s concrete. Interior has recently been renovated (as of 04/11) and is extremely pleasant.

Never to be visited again. Probably the most overpriced and smallest accommodation ever. Staff friendly and helpful, food reasonable but everything else poor.. Car parking expense and difficult to access, poor lighting. Room absolutily pocky and only one chair for two people What more to be said
