"Great Stop Over"

Great hotel, and certainly our preferred hotel in Suva.It is a great location alongside the sea in the "bay of islands", yet is handy to the city and provides courtesy transport in and out to shop or conduct business.

We had a Suva bay view room on the second floor. On our booking it said new bedroom with king size bed. However neither was true, bedroom was renovated at least 3 - 5 years ago and it had a queen size bed. Inquiry at the front desk said that all the rooms were recently renovated and they had no king size beds at the premises. Didn't order any room service or had breakfast so no comments there. We had to change rooms in the middle of stay for blocked toilet issue. The room we initially got had no safe but the second one did. As a result we had to carry our valuables out of the room whenever we went out. The gym was good as well with relatively new equipment although it lacked a cross trainer something I prefer over a tread mill. For A-club and Accor members in room wired broadband was free. Overall the hotel was good value for money considering water views and would rate it as 3.5 stars. A cross trainer and safe would have made it 4 stars.

It is a nice oasis out of town from Suva. However, I did not get the ocean view room I usually get in the southern wing, which is much nicer than a similar room in the northern wing. This was in spite of booking and prepaying months ago. Service was slow and staff had to be reminded of some requests, eg extra towels. The food was average this trip and very poor value for money. The food quality would have to improve before I would dine there again. I will think twice before booking here again, may go back into the city, the only reason to stay is because of my Accor membership and the good price to stay.

The Internet advertisement and the pricing was tempting. But the reality was disillusioning.The room service was bad, laxness, dirty shower etc. The pricing of oral confirmed deliverables (breakfast prices) were later negotiated and redeemed. Sorry, a very disappointing stay .
"Hotel with nice view"

Stay one night there. Nice hotel with very friedndly staff. The view is fantastic. Really relax when having a drink in the bar. The room is clean but the hardware needs improvement. In our first room the light is flashing and water is leaking from the ceiling of bathroom. When repuired we were changed to another room right away. But the next morning there was no power in the bathroom and had a dark shave. It didn't get fixed before checkout.My daugher likes the breakfirst as she can feed the fish while eating.

The staff could not be more obliging, always there for you. The food is beautiful however the choice of an air conditioned environment for eating would be a valuable addon. I would also like to see the televisions in the rooms have better reception, the picture is only just viewable. These points are minor in the overall experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate in recommending it to colleagues, friends and family planning travel to Suva Fiji.
"Could be better"

My arrival was greeted with confusion over my booking and there seemed to be no record on the system about the details of my confirmation and so we went into Suva to print out the confirmation...we waited 15 minutes for a porter and finally the man serving at the bar had to come over to help us .... Reception needs some work as first impressions really do have a lasting impact...it all seemed languid...the shop almost empty of stock- get the key from reception, nowhere to print out an email...yet the rooms have been nicely upgraded but the seeming lack of staff giving the impression of a place in the doldrums...a pity as there is much to commend the property if presented in an attractive way.....

I must say my family and I were impressed with the the service, environment and atmosphere at the hotel. We loved the homely feel it gave us and including breakfast in the package was a very wise thing to do. I definitely will be staying there again.

"Great Hotel in Quiet Spot - Shame About the IT"

Its a very comfortable hotel in a quiet spot, albeit a FJ$5 taxi trip from town. Rooms are well furbished, though not big (no spot to leave any large luggage apart from at the foot or side of your bed and having to walk around it all the time. Staff are very friendly. BUT i have stayed there twice in the last couple of months and BOTH times there were major difficulties with internet access in my room. On the first trip it wasn't fixed before i left. On the second trip it took best part of a day to get working. These days internet access is pretty much an essential if you are aiming even remotely at the business market. Plus i wish Accor would have wifi available in rooms, as well as plug-in. Its much more convenient,

"Great weekend but service not quite up to scratch"

Nice hotel in a lovely location just far enough out of Suva to be really relaxing. The room was lovely and the price was great. The staff were always friendly. Just a few issues. My room wasn't ready when I arrived at check in at 2pm. It took what felt like half an hour to be served and them for them to find me another room. And this lead to a variety of issues with the bill during my stay. All I really wanted to know how long I needed to wait for the original room. They didn't seem to have enough towels. Room towels often didn't arrive till 6pm and pool towels were always an issue. And one morning the buffet breakfast was seriously depleted. But overall it was great. You just have to accept this is the Pacific and sometimes things work on island time. I would stay there again without any reservation.

"Great Service."

Here the service was perfect, check in took 5 mins, asked for ice in the room and recieved it with in 5mins everytime. staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean, tv had a movie channel that showed recent movies one after the other. compared to its nadi counterpart. Novotel lami bay is 5 Stars
