ibis Karlsruhe City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A good stop-off"

22nd March 2012, NickLz, South Coast

Stayed one night returning from skiing in Austria. Slightly quirky lay-out (building is a conversion). Ate in the restaurant for supper and breakfast - fine.

ibis Karlsruhe City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent hotel"

18th February 2012, Prague, Czech Republic

I was so suprised - the excellent rooms, very friendly staff, good restaurant (foods, drinks, breakfast..), very fast internet connection and safe parking place with excellent location. I reccommend to all visitong IBIS Karlsuhe City\.

ibis Karlsruhe City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Solid Value Hotel."

20th October 2011, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Good location; close to Hbp and to local transportation into town centre. Staff at reception were very helpful with information about locations of places of interest in the town. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. All- round dependable and safe.

ibis Karlsruhe City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Netter Versuch, aber immer unter dem Durchnitt / Nice try, but still under the average"

5th October 2011, München

Location: directly aside the main train station in Karslruhe. Thereofore not really quiet, but the central location can be an advantage. Very limited space for parking at the front of the hotel (to take the luggage from the car etc.). Actually we had to park "wild" in order to get our things form the car and bring to the room.Rooms: new Ibis style without the ugly carpet on the floor-> positive. The room had very limited fresh air acces, when you open the window there is a kind of a second wall with windows but without opening to fresh air, this is made for the sound isolation but very strange, makes very bad impression. Sleep quality would be good (beds are new and comfortable) but the lack of fresh air spoils it totally (plus the noise of the trains). The building is very old, renovated recently, but the overall impression is unpleasant, like in an industrial building.Breakfast: small choice, the meat was very limited. One coffe/tea machine was out of order, from the other one I got cold tea-water, I told it to the Ibis-staff, after some minutes they informed me that "now" everything is fine already, of course it was not, the water was still cold (just cold, even not in a room temperature). Breakfast area was very crowded, you really have to wait to get your coffe or the juice.

ibis Karlsruhe City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Good overnight stop"

27th July 2011, bikerchris, yorkshire

Only stayed 1 night en route to Austria. Easy to find from Autobahn and good undercover parking for motorcycle. Very friendly staff, and clean functional room. Bars and restaurants close by and zoo and park across road.

ibis Karlsruhe City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Pleasant stay in Karlsruhe"

18th July 2011, Metairie, Louisiana

This hotel is very near the train station and was satisfactory in every way. The staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are comfortable and well laid out. The air conditioning was the best of any hotel we have stayed in.

ibis Karlsruhe City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Comfortable, convenient and inexpensvie"

16th March 2011, Norwich

Next to the rail station. Tram stop at front door. Welcoming. Comfortable. Food Good.I go every year to Karlrsruhe Festival and this is my second year at Ibis (Until Ibis opened stayed in Novotel which is more expensive and less convenient). Back next february D.V.

ibis Karlsruhe City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Great hotel but could be cleaner"

3rd January 2011, SharonNetherlands, Amsterdam

Hotel itself is good, just short 10-15 walk from center. Parking was 7 euros but found out there is plenty of free parking outside. Room had nice high ceilings. Could have been cleaner though. There were "body" hairs in the bathroom floor everywhere, including on the sink. We had unpacked at that point and were too tired after long drive to switch the rooms. TV turned on by itself (think it was a neighbour) and the shower was at times not warm enough. We told the reception regarding hairs and tv and she said, "that's nice to know". You can barely hear the trains but it's still present (even though they put us in a quiet room on the side of the station). Still, for that price and location, it's good deal.
