Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Experience"

I stayed here for 3 days in mid-May of 2012. The manager, Amogh, was extremely courteous and offered me an upgrade when he learnt that i wasn't happy with the room allocated to me (this perhaps also had to do with the fact that i was an Accor Privilege Card holder, and the hotel was not running on 100% occupancy at the time).The service quality standards made a positive impression on me, and i was pleasantly surprised to receive a cordial recorded message on my room landline, asking if i wished the room to be cleant (since i had the DND sign up for most of the day).A great 4 star hotel option for business and leisure travellers alike.

In the afternoon while relaxing, the engineering department were carrying out drilling and hammerring work & inspite of complaints made at the reception the work was not stopped, in the night the AC was not cooling at all, had complained at 1:00am about the same but nothing happened. The whole night we could not sleep as it was very hot.Had come to spend my anniversary but it was a disaster.

What a fantastic transformation from an average Holiday Inn Juhu to now a sleek and modern Novotel Juhu! Great work by the Accor group. After our stays at The Park and Radisson Blu in two other metropols, our stay at the Novotel Juhu was the highlight of our trip. The check-in process was a breeze, fantastic room at the top floor with nice views, friendly and helpful F.O. and Housekeeping staff. F&B quality however does have some scope of improvement, nevertheless an unforgettable experience. Thank you guys.

As a A Club Platinum Member I was dissapointyed by the service and the false promises provided by the Managers. Furthermore, there was a bug in my bed which caused irritation to the skin and a developed a massived bump to my finger. When i notified the hotel they said the manager would inspect the room. No manager turned up nor did they give an explantion. Very dissapointed with the service and even more dissapointed by the complusive false promises by the managment of the hotel.

We had been to the Square at the Novotel,Juhu during our stay but we found that they didnt have Jain food in the buffet menu and neither was the manager ready to co-operate for the same.Initially he refused for Jain food but after some arguments with him he said shall try whatever best is possible and were served only 1soup,1starter,1veg main course and 1 dal.Atleast if wanted he could have tried for something extra in the starters but he didnt.The same was the case during breakfast buffet.Before informing the guests the staff started picking up the spread menu saying that we close at 10:30Hrs.So please confirm with the manager before dining the food menu and the timings.Apart from this the entire experience was excellent.The beach view and pool facing lounge can make your day.Must visit.

Our arrival was not auspicious as we were met at the international Airport at 2.30am to be told that the hotel had overbooked and that we would be put up at the related Airport IBIS in a cheaper room. This is not my usual experience where you would expect an upgrade, not a R2900 cheaper room. Things were put right the next day when we were upgraded doe our remaining three nights to a ocean view Premier Club Room. I cannot complain. The hotel also organised a sightseeing trip around Mumbai (BMW with their driver) at a very reasonable price. We could go anywhere we wanted. I always stay with Novotel where I can and will be back at Juhu Beach in a couple of weeks for some more of this.

Noisy room was allotted to us. Minibar was not replaced every day. When we arrived, the manager in charge of minibar wanted to empty the minibar. the same was not expected. Why was the member not informed before the same.

Have stayed at the Novotel several times over the years and the location cannot be beaten: on the beach, close to shopping and not too far from the airport. Some members of the staff remembered us from our previous stay and they couldn't have been more welcoming upon arrival. Our Exec room (639) was was exactly what we needed and the lounge on floor 7 met our expectations - no visible cost-cutting here whatsoever. Cannot comment on the spirits, however, since we sticked to soft drinks only. The only disappointment was the spa exactly like on previous visits: the massage we took was average at its best and quite hurried. Had the pleasure of staying at Vivanta by Taj in central Mumbai three nights before moving to the Novotel and, quite honestly, the Taj manages to deliver a much more sophisticated experience from check-in to check-out. Had the chance to work in the travel business in India for 10 years so I have quite an experience with hotels in India. The Novotel is good, but not excellent, in this wonderful city.

Everything was great , right frm the staff who upgraded us to a sea facing room without any issues...food was awsum...except the changing area near the pool for showering was horrible...didnt meet the hotel standards in any way...the floors were dirty, the washroom was stinking like a public toilet....i cudnt go back in there aftr that...besides that one bad experience...i think overall it was a great break for people like us who stay in the city...

This refers to our visit the lady at the reception desk was really rude, i am not sure why she was behaving but her attitude was as if she is giving us the room free of costs and made lot of faces and gestures which were not expected from Accor group, her name was Ms. Assumption during our interaction. For the 1st time some 5 star property has treated us like this and i was shocked to see her behavior, i feel management must understand if some good clients are made unhappy at the reception counter how can anyone enjoy is holiday.She really spoiled our day and i hope Hotel Management takes some action on the same.

hotel is good.....didnt like toilets which cant be locked from inside and.see through toilets with curtains outside...shaving kit,tooth paste,tooth brush,one toilet slipper,nite gown..these things available in leela near airport...otherwise food,service was good..thks for giving us sea facing room...complimentary voucher was for lunch only.it shud be either for lunch or dinner....overall it was above average experience..

Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel but front desk needs to get more efficient"

Lovely hotel....have stayed here 6 to 8 times in the last few weeks..always in the club and premiere rooms...all is good...but always had a problem with the front desk both checking in and out...I guess a lot of trainees here who need a lot of exposure...I call them 30 mins before I check out and tell them that I am checking out and I need the car to drop me at the airport....when I come down.....zilch....they start to find my bills....etc etc...long story! The car not ready....lots of issues here! Otherwise it's an awesome hotel and the bartenders are very friendly and helpful......
