The hotel and room were fine, and the receptionist was nice and polite, everything I'd expect from a budget hotel. However, the doors bang constantly through the night, they seem to be designed to make the most noise ever, and there were a lot of people coming and going through the night. At 3:30am there was a fight in the corridor outside our room, this lasted about an hour and involved two men and at least two women. Between the screaming their phone would be ringing and being answered and I'm of the opinion that the hotel was being used as a knocking shop. No staff on hand to deal with any of this. Then at about 05:45 the fire alarm went off, so myself and my 5 year old evacuated downstairs along with another family. After about 20 mins of being out in the cold, the alarm stopped. Again, so staff to explain, reassure or organise. I had a very long drive the next day, and this was the last thing I needed.

The room was good, and near to restaurants and a cafe. But let down by poor check-in experience. The automated booking-in machine in the lobby crashed and (slowly) rebooted several times. We had been queuing with our luggage for over half an hour before the staff member (who was on-site and aware of the fault) agreed to book us in at the Reception desk.
